Hey Guys,

While I was watching the news today, I heard the reporters saying that AT&T and Verizon have drastically reduced there plans in order to keep up with T-Mobile.

I have the 2gb plan with unlimited talk and text which was normally 99 a month. It is now 65 a month.. Can you believe that?? That's amazing!! More money for my trip!!

Please call your providers to see if you can also get the savings..

Hope you guys can save some money. Let me know!!

That's great! Who is your provider?

Thanks! I had heard about that reduction. The only thing I have heard about verizon though is a $10 reduction...not nearly as good!

From what I heard this is a brand new promotion. There was a thread I had seen I called them and saved about 10 dollars

It is only AT&T.

Verizon is always the last one to make any huge changes to their plan prices. They still have that attitude that "we were here first, so we're the only game in town" They were like that when they provided home phone service and I was happy to be rid of them when the cable company started offering home phone service for a fraction of what Verizon was charging (many years ago!)

My Verizon wireless contract is up this month but I'm not going to get a new phone and get stuck in another two-year contract with them. I'll wait until they have some amazing offer until I renew ---- that may take another two years!

That's crazy. I have Verizon for my cable and they used to be great on prices but Cablevision is now offering low rates. I tried to call Verizon and see if they would match them. No Such Luck!! I cant leave them they have the one channel that I love.

If you have tmobile they are doubling the included data starting 3/23 (If I remember correctly from what I read). On my family plan each line has 500mb data and will have 1gb. I may be able to drop the extra 2gb that I pay for for just my line. That will save me $10 a month.

My contract is up next month. I would gladly stay with Verizon if they would lower their cost, if not I'm switching to Straight Talk for a HUGE savings.

The thing about Straight Talk though is if you don't already have a phone, you'll be paying full price for it.

Verizon is offering $10 less a month IF you switch to Verizon Edge, which for most people, doesn't make financial sense.

I'm pretty sure they are offering it for everyone...well, not really offering it.

From what I understand, they increased everyone's GBs for the same price you are paying now, but you can call or email them and ask them to keep the same GBs you have now, and that will lower your bill by $10.

Under "More Everything," participants with Edge -- a monthly payment installment plan that allows customers to upgrade to a new phone early -- will get $10 off of their monthly access charge if they choose up to 8GB of data. The discount doubles to $20 when a customer chooses a data bucket of 10GB or higher, a move designed to get families to bundle their accounts together. The discount only applies to the monthly access fee -- customers still need to pay a separate charge for data, phone calls, and text message.

In addition, single users signing a two-year agreement may get a discount depending on their plan. The discount ranges between $5 and $10, and only affects the lower tier options. Verizon also introduce a new 3GB, $100 plan with a two-year contract.

Verizon is also increasing the amount of data for some plans, making the cheaper options a bit more attractive. The $40 plan, which had offered 500MB of data, will now come with 1GB of data, while the $50 plan shifts up from 1GB plan to 2GB, and the $60 plan bumps up from 2GB to 3GB. Customers will see their data allowances doubled automatically.

This happened about a month ago.

This is the case with most of the new plans as well, including AT&Ts big price reductions.

Beware: Just like the new mobile share plan if you upgrade your phone the instead of $15/device it will go to $40/device...
