Kaylee is absolutely beautiful! DH made some pictures of the two of us. I don't have a digital camera but will have someone post a picture of us as soon as the film is developed. Of course Kaylee has made me decide that if no one buys me a digital for Mother's Day and since I have hinted quite strongly for birthdays and Christmas with no results that I am going to buy one myself! Kaylee is 19 inches long and weighs 7lb 4oz. DD was only in labor 3 1/2 hours! Kaylee has a sweet little round face and no wrinkles and I do believe she already knows me and was trying to smile. I talked to her all the time before she was born so I do believe she knows my voice. DD's father in law had passed away almost a week before so her joyous birth lifted a lot of sorrow from my son in law. Anyway I can already tell you this little girl is much loved and I "PROMISE" I won't spoil her one bit! You guys do believe me don't you?

Forget the not spoiling! I figure that if my g'kids aren't spoiled, that I'm not doing my job!! I'm real good at my job - of spoiling! Enjoy every minute - it goes by way too fast. I also think that she knows your voice. I believe that our DgrS knew my voice when he was a newbie! If not, he sure knows it now!! Since he is now 1 y/o - I just have until June to get ready for the little sister!!

DDs are only 6 and 3 and I already think about the spoiling I will do when I have grandkids, Lord willing. Enjoy every moment of it! As for the voice, your DGD did know it. They can hear will in the womb. It was amazing to watch DDs reactions to voice they heard often while in the womb.

My FIL has 8 grandchildren. Last night we were talking about my kids and he said that the first time he held DD#2 (the youngest grand), he said he just felt some sort of connection. He has been spoiling her ever since.

My mom can't say "No" to my kids, it's terrible. As long as my kids aren't in danger, she lets them eat and do whatever they want. My mom has told me that she doesn't come to my house to discipline her grandkids, only to have fun and let them have fun. My brother says that our mom isn't the same woman that raised us!

I think you lie, Boots!! That will be one SPOILED and LOVED granddaughter!! I am so happy for you - I know that you have being longing to be a Grandma for years!!

My Mom carried my DD around on a pillow when she was born, and wore a Snow White mask for 6 hours (because DD was 2 and made her do it ) - and now, even though DD is 18 - she's still Grandma's little Angel!!

Yes take lots and lots of pictures they grow up so fast. We have 4 grandchildren boys 11yrs, 7yrs, 16 months, and a granddaughter who is 2 months. I take pictures every chance i get.
