I just receive a Western Itinerary Change from my TA...and I have questions

As stated by TA:
Port Canaveral (embark) leave 5pm
Key West 12:30pm - 10pm
At Sea
Grand Cayman 7:30am - 5:15pm
Cozumel 10:30am - 11pm
At Sea
Castaway Cay 9 am - 5pm
Port Canaveral (disembark) 8:30 am

I thought the life boat drill and sailaway were before 5??? Does the ship actually pull-out at 5?

What changes are really a big difference?

I am sure someone out there knows the old itinerary by memory.

Life boat drill is before 5pm. Ships depart roughly at 5PM. I say roughtly because with the new security measures in port, the cruise ship departures have to be coordinated with the Coast Guard more rigidly. The CG choreographs the departures of each of the ships and I believe there is a lockdown on all other marine traffic in the area.

What is the difference from the old itinerary to the new one? It is the same ports....is the order different? Or the times in port?

Any western experts out there?

I was wondering what they were talking about... oh, well... I won't complain about getting a piece of mail to remind me of my upcoming cruise in less than THREE MONTHS!!!

My bet is one of the port times changed slightly. Probably nothing to worry about, but from the TA's point of view, it's better to send off a fresh copy with whatever little change then get a nasty letter later from the customer(s) asking: 'Why wasn't *I* informed of the change in time?'

Just came back from the Magic yesterday. The Mandatory Boat Drill is a 4:00 and the Sail-away Celebration starts at 4:30. We did leave at approximately 5:00. All the other times you have listed are the approximate times you can go ashore and the port departures times and they look correct to me according to my Personal Navigators. Patty

the difference I saw were on the times in ports
Key West was 12pm- 10:15pm (not a huge difference)
Grand Cayman was 7am-5:30
Cozumel 10am-11pm
Castaway Cay 9am-5pm
Seems like we are losing a little time in each port but not much difference.

leave port Canaveral 5pm (life boat drill is usually around 4pm)
Arrive key west at noon leave 10:15 (slight changes)
SEA
Arrive Grand Cayman 7am leave 5:30 (slight changes)
Arrive Cozumel 10am leave 11pm (slight changes)

Castaway Cay

Just slight changes in the arrivals and departures

We are leaving before you mid-January for the western, but haven't heard a thing, but those changes aren't significant. I thought maybe they changed the order of the islands or something. We made final payment, so I'm sure we'll be hearing more stuff from TA from now on.
