I just ordered Nutrisystem...how are you doing on it?

Just a "keep up the good work" for you all!!I have been on Nutrisystem since last July and have lost almost 30 lbs. (I took off from Thanksgiving through Christmas!!). I have been back on since Jan 2nd, and have lost 8 lbs since then. I really like the food and the fact that I don't have to portion anything out or cook at all!! ::yes::

I have been thinking about doing this plan. I have done it before & it does help with portion control. I just checked QVC & they are now showing a "customizable" plan where you get to pick out everything. That's what I would want to do since I am very picky.

Hi, good luck! I am using nutrisystem and really like the program. Some of the food is great, some is wretched..thats the way it goes. It may take you a couple of months to figure out which foods to order and the correct amounts of each. (I ordered lots of homestyle Chicken and Gravy originally and am STILL trying to eat the stuff). I do best if I eat about every 2.5 hours thru the day. I actually write it down . the order only actually gives you 4 meals , breakfast lunch dinner and snack. I sometimes order extra so that I can have a snack in the afternoon and still have a dessert at night. Why? you might ask, when I could just have a lowcal snack I buy? Because the nutrisystem snacks/desserts are chock full of protein. 13 grams in chocolate pudding! It makes a huge difference I think.

I know you said you are doing it on weekdays..off on weekends....word of warning, this can really throw you off. I did this for a couple of months. Every one is different, but if I go off it on weekends, I dont lose. Simple as that for me. Of course, part of my issue is that Ive lost over 50 lbs and now its really hard to lose more. But if i stay on it 7 days a week, i lose a pound or so a week. I only have 20 to go! My goal is June 9th...my vacation. Very doable I think. This diet takes some tweaking, so dont get discouraged if it takes you awhile to get it figured out. Go for it! :hippie:
 

It's been a while. How is everyone doing?!

My official start day of NS was January 10, and I am still at it with very little cheating. Have done very well with water in-take -- so much so that it's gotten a bit expensive! We have home delivery of Deer Park Water, and I've had to increase our monthly deliveries and add extra shipments. DH and I wind up going through about 10 gallons of water a week between the two of us! :) So far, I am down about 11.5 pounds, which is pretty good considering I don't have a whole lot of weight to lose. I should easily make my mini-goal of losing 12 pounds total by March 1. We leave for a 12-day vacation on March 2, and I am certainly worried about what that will do to my progress. Not so much worried about eating, but not getting to the gym as often as I'd like (I'm a 6x a week phanatic now) and drinking alcohol. We are going on a 10-day cruise with our friends and family, and it's not often that we can all get together and have drinks and enjoy each other's company where no one has to drive.

I hope that everyone is doing well. Are you finding the foods you like and revising your next auto-shipment? Don't forget to keep checking back as to what's available. I wasn't able to add hamburger patties and rotini w/meatballs to my first two shipments, but I can for my third, so I am happy about that.

As of today I have lost about 22 pounds!

This is the easiest diet I have ever been on; I can't believe how much MORE I eat. I want to loose another 40 pounds. I am still getting through QVC, but I think I may switch to Nutrisystem next month so I can switch my order around. Now that I am getting used to the foods, I find that I like some much better then others. I have a doctor's appointment next week and I can't wait to get on the scale!!! :hyper:

I ordered the NutriSystem from QVC and am starting tomorrow. I'm not looking so forward to the lemon poppyseed muffins anymore! Oh, well...

I need to lose quite a bit (65-70 lbs) and am hoping this will help. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I started Nutrisystem almost 2 weeks ago, and I have lost 7 pounds. I am so excited. I really think I can work with this diet. The first couple days were the hardest for me. I was so hungry, but now I am getting used to it. Hopefully, I found something that will work finally. Good luck to everyone.
 
The message boards on the nutrisystem site is really helpful! The people are so kind and you can get tons of info especially recipes to help jazz up things like the muffins. I never thought I would like those muffins but I tried a recipe. YUMMMMY...

I jsut started...anyone still doing this??
I did WW a few years ago and lost 55lbs....but this time I am in need of way more structure and need to lose more....
So far it is going well....hated the muffins, but the cereal and lunch items are good.

Just ordered mine yesterday, I did the South Beach 2 years ago, but in the last year I've been working 2 jobs and because of stress and lack of time have been eating lots of take-out junk... putting back on 15 lbs.

I'm really hoping that this plan will be easier based on my life-style. I want to lose 42lbs but I really need to get as much off before I go on a 17 night-trans atlantic cruise on May 2.
I spoke with someone at NS and she said I could "take a break" duriing the cruise and then resume after I get back.

AlexandNessa- I really liked to know how you found it doing the cruise break too. I'm also planning on workout alot so I can eat on the ship.
 
MaMudduck, I am sorry to say that taking that cruise was the worst thing I have ever done to my diet! :( I "tried" to be careful and get lots of exercise. Out of 12 days, I only missed going to the gym on two of them, and yet, I still managed to gain 6 pounds in 12 days! How could it take me about 4-5 weeks to lose 6 pounds and 12 days to gain them?! :rolleyes1

It wasn't so much the eating that was my problem (although I ate more than usual); as much as I hate to say it, it was the drinking. If you're not much of a drinker, then you will surely fair better than me! However, I hadn't drank in months, and now I was among all my drinking buddies. I caved.

We have been home since March 15, and I am still trying to slowly get back into NS. I am finding it very hard to get back into the swing of things and not cheat. I wish you much, much better luck and success than I had during your vacation. :)

P.S. Did I mention that I am totally jealous of your 17-day TA cruise? Awesome! Which cruise line are you sailing with?
 
I pulled this thread up from last year to see if any of the posters have current updates on thier weight loss and thought on Nutrisystem in general. I have tried WW and failed. I need more structure.

So Nutrisystem people, how did it go?
 
I too have attempted WW twice and I too need more structure....I was using 14 points on my boston cream duncan donut!!!!! ughhhhh!

I think that I will go ahead and try Nutrisystem. I will check back here often!;)
