I just had to call an ambulance

to come to the school. One of the van drivers is having convulsions and is extremly hot in our parking lot. He still wanted to do his run but he really is not in any shape to do it. Plus very dangerous for the kids. I hope he is allright

I had to do that on Monday with a staff member that had just started. I am in charge of taking all the new staff around to get their IDs and parking passes and we were in the parking office and she had a convulsion and then passed out, came out of it, passed out and got sick. It was actually pretty scary because we know nothing of these people before they start so I didn't know if she was epileptic or diabetic or anything. I ended up spending 2 hours in the emergency room with her until her husband could get there. Thanks goodness she ended up alright but it was very warm here and it was apparently the heat got to her.

I sure hope he ends up okay!

It seems it is his heart They called for a cardiac ambulance after the first one assessed him. They took him to the hospital. I will let you know more when I find out in the morning. That poor,poor man

What a shame. This heat is brutal. I have central air conditioning and sometimes its easy to forget how hot and humid it is, and how poor the air quality is. I hope that man will be ok!
