I'm guessing that you already told your husband, but I thought I'd share my idea...

We've been TTC (Trying to Conceive, for those of you who don't know) for 8 months now. Although I don't have any good news to share yet, I have planned how I'll tell my DH and DS15.

My plan is to test in the morning, as always, and then surprise DH and DS with a dinner out at a favorite restaurant the night I *finally* get my positive test. I'll call the restaurant ahead of time and ask them to have the hostess bring over a high chair to our table after she's seated us and say "I think you'll be needing this soon," and walk away.

Then I'll just wait for them to figure it out.

I hope I get to try it out SOON! I caved this week and bought an infant Micky Mouse costume hoping that I could put it to use in '08 or '09.

I didn't read all the way through the thread but have an idea for you!

Congratulations first of all...second for the idea...get your first born a tee that says I'm going to be a big brother. you can have it custom made with a date such as I'm going to be a big brother in may or what have you...

and have him wear it to dinner and see if your hubby notices!

First a big Congrats!!! I know how it feels to be TTC for what seems like forever! My idea for telling your DH is:

Buy a folding frame that holds one picture on each side and put a pic of your DS in one side and in the other put the words "to be filled approximately ---" and fill in your EDD. Wrap it up and tell DH that you can't believe it but he had one more Christmas gift that you had hidden in the bedroom!

Just wanted to say Congratulations also. We had trouble ttc also..dd(now 5) was born after 4yrs of IVF whereas dd3 was a big suprise. Hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing pregnancy.

When I was pregnant I got a gift bag and filled it w/ baby items and gave it to dh.
