HMMMMMMMMMM, I am not sure what to think, I have been here for several hours, and my feet are numb ( I think) but I am going to try to hang out until 1:27 and see what happens, lol.

My email was very brief - really just an FYI that they have done incredible damage to their reputation by not honoring the promotion. Told them that many people spent huge amounts of time waiting for the additional time window to open up, and it never did, and that it is all over the internet that the promotion did not take place as advertised. Also told them that based on this experince I would advise others to steer clear of their company.

Maybe they didn't cancel...perhaps they only modified. As per the terms of the promotion....

Company reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Campaign

Maybe its now only 5 minutes per day

I spent over 14 hours on my computer today in the hopes that I would be on for your promo. I knew from looking at websites that they promo ran for 5 minutes this morning and there were ten minutes left.

It is now 12:23 am and your site never ran the promotion again. I know you have the right to suspend the contest but common decency to the 1000s of people monitoring your site would have been to announce it.

I spent my time researching your destinations and prices and actually thought I would probably end up using your site for my travel in the future but if this is the type of business you are running - I will be sticking with more reputable sites such as Expedia, Hotwire, Priceline, Travelocity and the hotel's websites. With so many options out there - you blew an opportunity to really impress people.
 
Well I have been talking to Chloe too!!!! This is their Hong Kong office and said that her manager was out to lunch and will be back in 10 minutes, I told her that I will hold for him to get back. Told her people are talking about a class action lawsuit and she said she doens't know what to do. So I am on hold again waiting for that manager.
 
OK- my CS guy said they are well aware of the situation (no kiddin' right) however, there is nothing they can do right now except assure us that the promotionis still going on. I asked if he was aware of how many people were upset... he said the phones are out of control. He said they would most likely post something on the site about the problem once it is figured out and I also insisted he take my number and that I expected a phone call from someone to explain this to me. I will keep ya'll posted if I hear any more tomarrow. In the mean time, off to bed for me!! Good night!

So I know I said that I was going to bed but then I got interested in hearing what CS said about the promo!

Does anyone remember the Super 8 promo last summer. I did that one and I was able to get a room for the 8.88 price after trying for 3 days. Of course with that one, you logged on at a specified time, etc...

I just feel like this promo CAN be done and if they didn't anticipate the problems, interest and traffic that it would generate, then they are obviously not too smart!

I know that these rooms are a steal but it is just wrong to offer them up and then not follow their own posted rules. I know that they gave themselves an "out" but I can't imagine that anyone who spent their day waiting, only to find out that it never happened will ever use this company.
 
See my big thing is yes they wrote themselves an "out" that they can change/cancel/modify the promo but aren't they REQUIRED to notify this on their website?

I agree that they reserved the right to modify or cancel it, but if that's what they did, they would then have to change their advertising of it. They cannot continue to advertise it under the original terms if it's changed.
