Okay, never done this before and the way you all talk like pros, I feel like an idiot!! Everyone said the good fares were already gone so early today but I went on there anyway. In the las column on the grid it had the "promotional only fares" (or something like that). It was my dates and pretty good times, so I clicked on it and it gave me $89 each way from BWI to MCO. What does the promotional fares mean? Did I screw up and get us seats in the cargo section or something?? My MIL will kill me!!! Well that could be good because it would be so loud I probably wouldn't be able to hear her talking!!LOL Somebody assure me these seats are legit and I just somehow stumbled on them. Thanks!

Sandy

Take a deep breath, you did fine. Just be aware that SWA has open seating and no assigned seats, but you will have the same seating as the person in the row next to you that may have paid alot more for their seat. To assure and "A" boarding pass you can check in online 24 hours prior to your departure time.

If you want to know what the Promotional Fare rules are they should print out on your confirmation email. If not go back to the website and read them.

Sounds like you did just fine. But now that you mention the MIL in the cargo hold, that has some merit worth exploring.

I booked 9 people this AM also, not happy with the return fare, but I booked the refundable anytime rate and guess I'll just keep checking and checking for that flight to go down. Hopefully it will when SWA fills up the 8:00am departing flight.

Your not necessarily SOL jetstrip. Many flights are still WAY open. Give it a try. And don't worry about "dings" as someone stated... you got a great rate to begin with!! Relax. :cool1:

whoops I guess I misread- misinterpreted your original text. I thought maybe from your 2nd message that you didn't book a returning flight. Now I see that you DID book everything, and just "wondered" if you'd be SOL sorry :flower:

Then I must be doing something wrong b/c it came to over 700 for 2 people out of philly I almost died when I saw that price

wait, ok, I'm really lost. I thought you said you booked, got that cheaper fair, were worried about cargo hold etc. Did you not book it this morning? I'm sorry!

AAAh DDDDDDAAAAAAAA jetstrip and OP are not one in the same!!!
:badpc: SORRY again, I am going to bed!!!

so i got sw doen to 460 that is the cheapest, any opinions, should I wait till after xmas, i really cant cruise the web all day long i have like an hour at night so should I take this fare and run with it or hold out for better

$460 for both of you? That doesn't seem TOO high, although a lower price would be nice, right? ;)

Other threads have mentioned that SW will typically release fares, see how well they're responded to, and if they need to, begin releasing even lower fares. That might be worth waiting for, but it's not guaranteed to happen, so it's a bit of a risk.
