We opted for the 3-day cruise as DH and I have never been and with the kids we weren't sure how they would react. But hey...a 3-day Disney Cruise is far better than none

What a great feeling! I know 3 day cruises often get overlooked on this board, but from someone who has been on 2, I can tell you they are well worth it. 3 days on a Disney ship are better than 3 days at home for sure. You will have a great time!

We took our first disney cruise, a 3 day for the same reason you are, in August 2003. We went on a 7 days February 2004, and have another 7 days booked for February 2005. So be warned cruising with DCL is Highly addictive........

I'm right there with you! We're only doing the 3-night cruise too--it's our first and we have no idea how the kids are going to react to being on a ship -- especially considering our 3rd hasn't even arrived yet (he/she's still cookin' ). Heck, I'm not sure how DW and I are going to react either! We only booked last week and I've already had a nightmare about all five of us sick for the whole cruise!

congrats on the booking of the cruise. our fisrt cruise was a 3 day and we thought of it as a tease cruise. there is so much to do and so little time to do it. but the 3 day is great. your kids will love it if they like anything disney.

Congrats on booking! I'm also from NH and we also booked the 3-day for our first cruise on 4/29 for many of the same reasons everyone here states. We've been to WDW more times than I can count, but neither my husband, myself or my daughter (age 7) have ever been on a cruise. I'm sure the bug will bite us though, and we expect to re-book on board. The anticipation is half the fun! I'll write a trip report after we return home in May.
