I just booked Disneyland trip for 8/13/16-8/16/19, 1st trip for my grand-daughter

This will be my 3rd trip but I am taking my grand-daughter with me who will be 8 when we go. I am hoping to book the Grand Californian with points but just in case I cannot I booked the Tropicana. I got a good rate with AAA discount.
I know it will be crowded but we will take our time, maybe get 5 day tickets. We may even take a trip to Universal.
But I am so excited I know my grand-daughter will love Disneyland, she has been to WDW 5 times, she keeps saying she wanted to go with me to Disneyland and my son and daughter in law just gave me the go ahead

Awesome! Take tons of pictures and make tons of memories! I would have loved a chance to travel to Disneyland with my grandparents.

We stayed at the Tropicana and it was awesome, very clean and close. I'd also love a chance to stay at the Grand Californian and explore it thoroughly! The pool at the GCH is definitely superior to the Tropicana!

We leave tomorrow....taking our DGD for her first DL trip. She is only 2, so I hope it goes well.

I am so excited, I want to keep it a secret from her, but I am not sure how long I will be able to hold out. It is going to be fun going with a young child. I will have to look into some character meals.
