We are trying to figure out our digital camera before we leave in 20 days. We figured out how to take pictures and transfer them to our laptop. Now we supposedly copied them to a RW (it said it copied successfully) but now when we put it back in to the laptop or our desktop it says it cant read the disk. Does anyone know why or what we are doing wrong?? I'm glad they are on the hard drive but want to put them on a disk also. I hope I explained this ok,

Thanks,

Lory

Click the disk to see how much MB is on it. I would try another disk and retry the process. Make sure the RW is formatted first!

Are you sure it copied it to the disk or just copied it to temporary space in your hard drive.

Some burner software will put the files you're copying in a temporary space before actually burning the disc.

OOPS! That's what happened. My husband thought he put them somewhere where they were ready to be copied but actually he didn't. It said pictures to be copied 0, but he didn't see that. He moved them and tried it again this morning and it worked. I am so happy. I'm so afraid I am going to take tons of pictures and then lose them all!! I think FINALLY we have it figured out enough to know how to save them.

Thanks again everyone, you's always come thru:)

19 days until we leave cold Wisconsin for warm Florida

Remember to make 2 copies of your CD. Put one away somewhere else in case something happens to the first CD. Think of them as your negatives.
