I hope our room at BLT is just as stunning as it was at BWV

Heading to WDW for ten nights in late May. Went last year around the same time. Stayed at BWV and requested a room overlooking village green. What a gorgeous view! If I knew how to upload a photo, I'd show you all.

Anyway, we are staying at BLT this time. We have a lake view and I requested an even number room on the highest floor available. Should I add anything to this request as I prefer a room that has a view of both Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake?

I hope you enjoy your stay. I have never been to BWV, but had an outrageous view last stay at BLT. Lake view north end which had a view of Space Mountain and castle. Could watch wishes from the sofa.....and the big picture made it seem like we were floating on the water. I request same location for next stay in June.

Once again, I hope you enjoy BLT....very convenient:cool1:

Having an even number room does not necessarily result in getting that North wall of the building view that sees MK since the south wall looking toward Contemporary/Epcot is also even numbers, see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082. You would have to add that you want the north wing/tower.

Note, if you have not been to BLT yet, be aware that the inner horseshoe view is actually very good too (personal view is that it is better than theme park view) because the rooms are more titled to looking out toward lake than across at each because of how the wings are actually placed resulting in good view of the lake and the former Discovery Island. The key for best views is high floor and since they usually prioritize requests in order given, you should probably make high floor your top request.

Thanks for posting a true, non zoomed photo. So many on the internet make it seem like the view is much better than real life.

I agree totally. We had a studio right in the middle of the inner horseshoe on a high floor and absolutely loved it. We could even see fireworks from a third party themepark [never knew which one it was] most nights. :thumbsup2

And interestingly enough, we are booked in a BWV boardwalk view studio for this June

We were on the south wall, inner part of the horseshoe and had a great view of the pool and lakefront, but that was it. I wished we had gotten our outer ring request. The pool was nice, but even on the south side I would have preferred seeing the Contemporary, larger view of Bay Lake, and maybe some of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

First of all, are you asking about the view from your room or the room itself ? The title of the post is slightly different than the text of the post so I was not sure.

We had an outside room, south side on the 8th floor...we could see the WL and the Illuminations fireworks at Epcot...fantastic...definitely one of the best balcony views of any of our WDW rooms.

THe room on the other hand was a let down, especially as compared with the studio we had at BWV. It was smaller than the room at BWV and the ultra modern contemporary look just left me cold. By smaller I am referring to how the room is setup whereby the common area around the beds was definitely smaller than the room at BWV. It was very tight with three adults, luggage and with the sofa bed pulled out.
Sorry, but BLT is just not our list of favorite resorts at WDW.

I'll be at BLT next week. We have a lake view booked and have stayed lake view in May previously. We were on a high floor. The view was nice but it was so windy we couldn't sit on and enjoy our balcony.

We just went out there and took a few pictures and then back inside. Way too breezy each day!

Same with Top Of The World viewing area - we nearly blew away.

I'm hoping for a sheltered balcony in any location so I can have coffee in the morning and gaze at whatever view I get.

I'm a BWV owner and it is rare that I don't get to sit out. I'll be happy with a lower room if it makes it less windy.

Silly me...the title of the post is missing the word "view".

Thanks everyone for your input and I can't wait!

Well our request came through. We got room 8406. I love the view!

Congratulations.....enjoy your stay...View....and room....

We will be there in 27 days.....:cloud9:
