I heard somewhere that NY is trying to patent the I Heart shirts and all of that stuff so no other state can do it. I want to know your opinion on this because to me it gets me annoyed.

I don't particularly care.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a shirt that said something like I ♥ Atlanta, or something like that. NY just seems like the only thing that looks or sounds right.
I can see both sides, and agree with both.

yayayaaa im from New York so it would be a good thing for NY 2 patent the sloagn in my eyes. New York would probaly make more moneyy off that slogan. More money here in new york the lower the taxes and the less we pay

that VA made fun of NY by making the shirts "Virginia Is for lovers"

because "well yeah you can love ny but VA is for lovers" XD

the only other place I've ever seen those shirts was in washington dc. the shirts said I ♥ DC on them. I guess it really only looks right with the two letters to me. I mean a shirt that said I ♥ Pennslyvania or something would look a little wierd to me. But I really don't care whether they are patented or not.

I have a I ♥ DC shirt i got it this summer in dc... I really only have seen it in DC (Ive never been to New York) but they were being sold every where and alot of ppl wearing them i finnally bought one the last night in our hotels gift shop but i have seen a I Seattle one once and it just didnt look right so I think that either NY should be able to Paten it or DC since those are the only 2 places you really see them...
