I hear the Dolphin to be renovated but are the rooms in okay condition now?

We have a Dolphin room reserved for 7/5-9 and after hearing about this renovation wondering if the rooms are all that bad now? I'm real picky about my room. The room I get is as important as the vacation itself. I requested a ground floor patio room. IF anyone's been there lately, please report so I can rest easy! thank you! :D

If you're "real picky about your room" then you may not be happy with one that the hotel feels needs a remodel.
We were there in Feb. and stayed on the 5th floor. The hallways looked tired and in need of painting and new carpet. The room was fine for the 129.00 a night we were paying but it would be disappointing for more money.

The carpet was not stained or worn, the bedspreads, drapes and upolstered chairs were fine, the furnishings weren't chipped or dinged and everything worked (lights, faucets, shower, hairdryer, etc.), but, yes, it could use an update.

Did we love the resort anyway? You bet! Planning to stay there again in April 2004. Hope you'll enjoy it too...:p
