Can anyone give me a good touring plan?? We have two days devoted to do Universal and IOA so I don't have to hop

Please keep in mind I have three children 8 (Boy 52"),6 (Girl 48"), and 4 (Boy-41" I am hoping he makes it to 42" with his shoes on by November.) My MIL will also join us for those days.

I plan on doing counter service- what do you reccommend for each of the parks?

I think we will skip the big rollercoasters in IOA because the younger ones can't get on them. BUT I am very interested in The Mummy ride, is it worth leaving the small ones with my MIL?

Any help, tips or information is appreciated!!!

yeah the mummy is a must do, its great, so is MIB and Twister if you havnt done those yet, but hte kids should be able to do those. A day a piece should do it and stay at the Royal Pac, its onsite and terrific, plus you get the room key fast pass thing.

In my opinion, Mummy and MIB are the only must do's.... Terminator is blah, ET is ok, but those seats hurt.... Back to the Future was excellent but now it is closed... Twister was dull and boring, Earthquake was not good and I must be the only one who didn't like Jaws... Spider-man in IOA is a must must must do... Best ride I ever been on... and this comes from a Disney fan.. But hey, I appreciate a great ride, and Spider-man blows them all away...

Yes I agree with you except your assessment of Terminator and Twister, I think Terminator is a must do for the old park, I love Terminator, same with Twister. Twister is not going to change your life and I would only recommend doing this if you don't have to wait over 15-20 minutes, but its still neat. I think the tornado simulator is just really cool. Its not the best thing there though, i would agree with that.

For IOA yes Spider Man is a must do as well as the Jurassic Park boat ride, thats actually my favorite. And make sure you eat at Mythos in the Lost Continent Section, that is my favorite section.

I think Terminator is still one of the best attractions there and it doesnt look outdated at all.

Twister is just dependent on the person, I know some people that love it, some that hate it...I think it's ok as an effects show and the tornado effect is cool, although its not that big

E.T. is a classic and is on-par with similar Disney dark rides...its like a big Peter Pan

Wait--Wait--So BTTF is actually closed now? I'm trying to keep up with this.
I'm going in mid-October, and I was really hoping it would still be open.

in my opinion yall should do all of the classics in universal because they are just that- classics. they may not be the best rides in the world but the atmosphere in indescribable. in IOA, Toon Lagoon is a must for the kids.

The first time I went to Disney was last year. I picked up the Unofficial Guide to Disney World written by Bob Sehlinger. It was the best thing I could have done. There are a few different itineraries on his book. We used them for each park we went to, and very rarely waited in any lines. There were times in Magic Kingdom we would walk up to a ride, and 2 hours later there was a 40 minute wait. I really can't say enough things about these guides. We are going again on the 22nd of this month, and I just picked up the 2007 edition. In addition to the Disney parks, it also has info on Universal, Water Parks, Sea World, etc.

Hope this helps.

Best way to hit a park is go the backward route! So for instance at IOA: Seuss (sp), The lost continent, Jurrassic Park then Toon Lagoon and then Superhero Island.

Universal - Theres a little cut way as soon as you enter the park, then just follow it round!
2 days is a short time, so be sure to take advantage of Single Riders or Possible Universal express. :wizard:
