I've been posting on the cruise board but just have to share here too.

Long story short my daughter has taken seriously ill at AKL jambo this week. We rented Dvc points for a 2 night stay prior to our fantasy cruise. We arrived last Thursday after a nightmare red eye flight. My daughter started vomiting on the flight. We thought it was air sickness. It got progressively worse and her eyes were rolling bak in her head. 911 took us by ambulance. $6600 medical bill later (I'm Insured!) she was diagnosed with a super flu that also caused a massive UTI. 10 hours later and missing our cruise, we were "homeless". AKL put us club level for a rate of $203 per night due to the emergency and so I could have easy access to snacks and stuff. They put us here for 2 nights.
They were unable to keep us here because its full. It's going into high season and they have nowhere for us.
They actually phoned all over and managed to get us a sweet emergency rate at POR until our flight leaves Saturday. They are transporting us and our luggage tomorrow.
But here is the best magic. They found out my daughter loves school bread and hasn't been to wdw in five years to get some, and just had 6 of them delivered from Epcot to our room! They also have sent chicken broth, crackers and ginger ale free of charge and unasked for to the room.
We have been truly blessed.
When the school bread arrived my daughter cried. She can't eat it yet as she is on liquids only, but I did let her lick the top and stick her finger in the custard!

I am amazed t the service!

Wow, so sorry that your daughter got so sick, scary. There are some bad bugs out there.
Disney rocks :thumbsup2 thanks for sharing. We stayed at AKL CL last August, and I have to agree. Their staff is great. My daughter came down with the stomach flu while we were there, and they kept her supplied with ginger ale.

You'll love POR, it's our fav moderate. I hope she gets well soon.
