I looked at my wonderful family last night around the dinner table and said, "Wonderful family of mine... do you all realized that we'll be celebrating Mother's Day at WDW this year? SOMEONE should probably make a ADR for dinner that Sunday." They all started at me in silence and horror. Being the obsessive Disney Planner and foodie-in-training that I am... they are too scared to take on that daunting project. Apparently... I frighten them and/or they do not want me disappointed on Mother's Day. Or my DH is too lazy to do it himself. So... I have to make the ADR myself. Two adults and three kids ages 11, 8 and 5. Should we do: Narcoosee's, Citricos, California Grill or the Flying Fish? Why? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

love the flying fish!! one of the best places we have dined at wdw. but i would be making those ADRs asap for mother's day! good luck and happy mother's day! :duck:

Let me preface by saying that my opinion will actually be pretty useless, as I haven't actually dined at any of the aforementioned restaurants! However, we did stay at the GF this November and I thought Narcoossee's looked like a great restaurant. The setting is so beautiful and the menu looked yummy (they have one outside that I perused while waiting on the dock for the boat). I actually tried to make an ADR for Narcoosee's on ANY night of our upcoming 6 night stay and they were full. I have several CG ADR's until I decide our FI (that new abbreviation is Final Itinerary). So after April 1, I can tell you a real opinion on that.

Just book Victoria and Albert's (just you and the hubby) and tell the kids THAT is a happy mother's day!! Hee Hee..

Think it's too late to get one at any of those four at a reasonable time? I already have a backup ADR which I will keep if I can't get the others. It's for Whispering Canyon and I made it ages ago... not realizing that it was also Mother's Day. But I want to try for one of the others, anyway.

We just decided two weeks ago to go at the end of March and I got several CG reservations last week - even around Wishes times. I have called every day checking on some of the other things that were originally booked and have had luck with cancellations as well - Mother's Day might be tough, but I think you'll find something to be excited about!

We haven't eaten at any of those either BUT we'll be at Flying Fish for
Mothers day. Maybe we'll see you there! It's gotten really good reviews, can't wait to try it.
I made our ADR too. I'm the official planner for our Disney vaca. I love every minute!! ;) At least you know you'll be eating where you want for Mother's day :woohoo: Enjoy!!!

As you know I cannot help you there since I will be there in May for the 1st time (Paint Brushes on the 10th). However I know this is way in advance but I hope you have a wonderful Happy Mothers Day! I am sure they will come through with something for you, they are a great family!

Do you think it would be alright to ditch them all and go to Blue Zoo by myself? Or is that not very "magical"?

I'm just kidding but... maybe I should add Blue Zoo to the list... is it kid friendly or not??????

I have no Idea what the Blue Zoo is like, but if you want to ditch them, I will buy you a drink for mothers day! But shhhh we will not tell your DH, maelstrom!

Hi there:
We were there last Mother's Day and since it was our first day there I wanted it to be fun for all of us (DH, DD-10, DS-7). So we went to Typhoon Lagoon and I made an ADR for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I told everyone I ate with two Prince Charmings!!!
When we got back to our room at OKW my DH and kids had ordered flowers so I had a beautiful arrangement in a great Mickey vase to greet me when I arrived back at the room. DH was upset that they had not arrived earlier. He wanted them to be there before dinner. Oh well. It was magical. ( There was a little crystal Mickey icon hidden in the arrangement. )
Hope your Disney Mother's Day is Magical too.!!!! :wizard:

DH, DS, and I are going to the Yachtsman for Mother's Day and I made my own ADR! I was thinking of doing the Epcot brunch that day, but I thought it was way overpriced. Feel free to go to Yachtsman and I'll keep an eye out for ya!! :thumbsup2
