I Have To Go Pick Up His Ashes Tomorrow

My DC passed away in SC and had to be cremated there.
I have never had to do anything like this before.
Nobody in my family has ever been cremated,but that was his wishes.
I dont know how I am going to handle it.My DSis is going with me so I dont have to go alone.
We will be have his service Saturday.We are still in shock.He went so fast.We found out Feb8th and he died March 27th.They had give him 6 months and we only had him for 6 weeks.I did get to go see him on Monday and Monday night after we got home he passed away.

So if you dont mind I could use some thoughts and prayers.This is going to be very hard for me to do.

I pray and know how you feel, i had to deal w/ the same thing w/ my brother. We let his ashes go at the mountains of Cherokee.

Well we made it.
It was not as hard as I thought it would be.I handled it OK.Now if I had been by myself that would have been a diffrent story.

We got back and my Aunt called and asked if I would keep his ashes with me,she said she just could not do it right now.
We have the Memorial service tomorrow.This has been a long week.We are all very tired,especially his Mom and Dad.My DM has been with her all week and that has seemed to help her alot.
I went to my Aunts this evening and she had me a CD and a picture made .I listen to it and I can just see him singing the songs.OMG,he sounded so awesome.
