I had to right click on the red X, choose properties, and highlight the http line and paste it in the address line. Once I do that, when I go back to the thread, I see that pic. Then, I have to do it to the other "X"

Disney Doll, I was born and raised in Spain, I have all my family in Spain and tons of friends, my roots are still there but my dh and children are American and my heart belongs to both places.

It basically says that there'll be no attack on Iraq from the Spanish military, although Spain will send soldiers for support and humanitarian reasons, etc.

Aznar dice que tropas españolas no participarán en ataque a Irak

MADRID (AFP) - El presidente del Gobierno, José María Aznar, anunció este martes que España no enviará tropas en misiones de ataque a Irak en caso de que se produzca una intervención militar en este país, aunque sí se enviarán soldados españoles en misiones "humanitarias y de apoyo".

"En caso de que llegue a haber una intervención (armada en Irak), España no participará en misiones de ataque o de carácter ofensivo, en consecuencia no habrá tropas de combate españolas en el teatro de operaciones", aseguró Aznar, en una comparecencia en "sesión informativa" sobre la crisis iraquí ante el Congreso de los Diputados.

El presidente del Gobierno señaló sin embargo que España "contribuirá al esfuerzo internacional con una misión de apoyo humanitario" que contará con el buque Galicia en misiones médicas, protegido por 120 infantes de marina y unidades del Ejército de tierra, de ingenieros y de defensa nuclear, bacteriológica y química "con capacidades la primera para tareas de desminado y desactivación de explosivos y la segunda con tres equipos de reconocimiento químico y radiológico más una estación completa de descontaminación".

Además, "acompañarán al buque Galicia una fragata de la armada así como el buque petrolero "Marqués de la ensenada"", con un contingente total de unos 900 efectivos, añadió, señalando que estas actividades se inscriben en "las tareas de ayuda humanitaria a la población respondiendo al llamamiento del secretario general de las Naciones Unidas".

Finalmente, Aznar dijo que España pondrá a disposición de la OTAN "para su utilización y la defensa de Turquía en caso de ataque a ese país seis aviones aviones F-18 apoyados por un avión cisterna Hércules C-130 con sus correspondientes dotaciones así como un helicóptero de salvamento y rescate".

Asimismo, Aznar reivindicó que la resolución co-patrocinada por EEUU, Gran Bretaña y España y la posterior declaración de los tres países el domingo en las Azores ha recibido el apoyo de "Holanda, Dinamarca, Italia, Polonia, Republica Checa, Eslovaquia, Lituania, Letonia y Macedonia", y que otros países europeos se sumarán "pronto" a la iniciativa.

Fuera del ámbito europeo, la declaración "recibió el apoyo expreso de Colombia, Nicaragua, Bolivia, El Salvador, Australia, Japón, Emiratos Arabes Unidos, Qatar, Bahrein y Kuwait", añadió.
