My dd's favorite cookies are those that you put peanut butter on 2 ritz crackers to make a sandwich, then cover the "sandwich" with white almond bark. She loves them, and I don't know what to call them other than "those cookies Sara loves". Does anyone know what they're called?

Thanks.:)

I don't know the name. I know what you're talking about though. You might have to have Sara make up a name for them!:)

LOL :teeth:
I ran a search on it and came up with a lot of names....so I guess you can call them "Sara's Cookies" ;-)

They were called:
Alice's Cookies
Mock Butterfinger Cookies
Ritz Cookies
Ritz-Peanut Butter Cookies
...and with the addition of orange sprinkles, Easy Halloween Cookies

LOL! Thanks. I guess I'll have to go by the DIS suggestions and call them Sara's Cookies.:)

My recipe calls them "gold coins". I don't know why, since they aren't gold. My family likes these, too.

i HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THESES COOKIES. THEY SOUND GREAT COULD YOU GIVE ME THE RECIPE. I WOULD APPREICATE IT.

THANK YOU

It's easy, webmomom. Just put peanut butter on ritz crackers to make a "sandwich". Put as little or much as you like. In a medium sauce pan, melt a pack of white almond bark over medium heat(chocolate is ok too, but my dd prefers the white better). Stir until melted, then dip the "sandwiches" into the melted almond bark (I use 2 spoons to coat them completely). When completely covered, place cookies on waxed paper or parchment paper to harden and cool. Then eat.;) My dd likes the last part the best-but she helps me with the other steps too:).

It's got a salty/sweetness to it (more sweet than salt). A friend of mine buys nutter butters and dips them in the almond bark instead of making the "sandwiches" though.:)

Thanks MerryPoppins.:) I wonder why they call them gold?

Those sound really good
I want some now... wahh

I've made something similar only I use Ritz Bitz peanut butter crackers. The almond bark on little pretzels is good too.

I do the pretzels too Cinlee3, but my dd loves the peanut butter crackers better.:) My aunt takes the same recipe and will dip half the cracker in the almond bark, then dip the other side with chocolate bark. She lets one half dry before she dips them in the other. I prefer just the almond bark ones.:)
