I have to say I think I have the best Mom. Mom is known here as BFL. Anyway, I have been having a really bad couple of days, long long story. And looking forward to my upcoming vacations in the next 5/6 months: DCL Med Cruise; DL; Vienna/Prague/Salzburg; DVC Member cruise; WDW. I am also self employed, I own a stained glass business, and with the vacations my cash flow has been tight, as I close up shop when away (one person operation) and the vacations we picked haven't exactly been low cost. Anyway, I have a fuji p&s digital camera, and still use my Rebel G SLR. I have a couple lenses and other accessories for the Rebel, and I still shoot slides for competition.
So, why is my Mom the best, well she bought me a Digital Rebel XT this morning as an early birthday gift.
I was just complaining the other night on how much the film and processing was gonna cost due to the locations I will be (Europe). I'll shoot thousands of images. Now, I don't have to worry anywhere near as much about film and airport xrays, costs, etc. I will bring both bodies and will use film in certain circumstances, but I am just so exicited.
For those that say the Xt isnt the newest or greatest, it is what I wanted so it doesnt matter.
