My family (Me DH 31, DW 29, DS 5, and DD4) and I first discovered DVC back in 2007.

We rented points and stayed at the BWV 1 Bedroom for 6 nights in May 2007.

Went back and rented again, this time in BCV 1 Bedroom for 7 nights in May 2008. Scheduled a tour and the DVC Van never showed up as promised

Arrgghhh

Came home from that trip began my hardcore reasearch and made an offer resale. Got the approval financing and seller accepted offer. Last minute, DW backed out, we had a renter at a rental property have tomove out etc etc

Anyways we are going back AGAIN this MAY and staying 8 nights now at BWV once again

I have the DVC tour schduled for the 2nd to last day of our trip for 10:00am

We have been apprived for financing through Disney

I want to buy. I have been obsesive over buying for months now.

Never been to CR (expect CM) and never to AK (but do have a BOMA ADR scheduled before the DVC tour)

Wanting so bad to fall in love with Kadani Village and the DVC Tour and DW to do the same

Everything about it feels right to me. We go every year, like to stay at DVC resorts

Heck if we dont buy we are going to rent again for next May at AKV

I think 250 points would be ideal for me if not 300 points

Do you guys think I can make it?

Think I can get DW to love it as much as I do?

When I sat down to work it all out, I used pretty simple math that helped us decide that it made sense.

I looked at our vacation budget and realized that we were paying around $2000 - $2400 a year for our room. I compared this cost to the cost of owning DVC (MF's and month payments with financing) and found that my yearly expenses would actually go down if I bought DVC.

That was enough for me and we took the plunge!!!! I ended up not needing Disney financing so it will cost me less than what I initially thought.

I have spent money year after year for stays at WDW and each time I had nothing to show for it (other than great vacations and memories). Now, I know that for the next 50 years, my kids and I (and their future families) will enjoy WDW!!!

Good luck!!!!

If you buy I would recommend buying smaller contracts than one big one for 300 points. This way if you have three contracts for 100 points a piece, it is much easier to sell one contract, if you have must.

She's stayed in DVC twice. If she isn't in love yet, she probably will never be.

I'd say the goal isn't to get your DW to love DVC as much as you do. Just to love you, and know that DVC makes you happy.
