I can't remember. I've never really had a problem changing my reservations but also haven't been in a few years. I thought I'd grab the 2, make a phone call and be set but now I see that might not be so easy. I've tried during one phone call and she said no 4 tops were available. Do they even have tables for 2? Of course, I'll keep trying but I'm trying to figure out my odds of just showing up and seeing if worse comes to worst.

If worst does come to worst show up early for your ADR and ask if they can seat a couple extra guests. But don't count on it, you may be told no. I'm hoping the other 2 are adults, because I can't imagine taking a child to CRT only to be turned away because of lack of seating.:scared:

Have you tried making another ADR at around the same time for a party of 2? You can then ask if you could sit together.

My daughter and I often go as a party of 2 so I'm familiar with the seating. There are a number of tables for 2 there.

My friend wanted to dine there last year to celebrate her 25th anniversary. They were there with their 2 daughters but could not get a table for 4. They had a table for 2 at lunch and a table for 2 at dinner. I told her to show up to lunch early and ask nicely if the could all get in then, but let it drop that it was their 25th anniversary.

No go.

I'm not saying don't ask. I'm just saying not to get your hopes up. Keep checking online. Since it's prepaid, people do cancel.

Yikes!! Not the happy ending I was hoping to hear!! I'll keep trying for the 4 and add in a search for 2 and try to combine. They just don't have anything right now. There's always hope closer to time especially...

There are four tables for two in the restaurant. Three of them are among the best tables, right next to the window. Your reservation assumes you'll be seated at one of those.

It's not about what kind of table you're seated at, it's about restaurant capacity and fire codes. (Especially at CRT, where exiting in an emergency is a bit more involved than running out the door.) There may be several infants or toddlers there at any time, who don't necessarily take up a chair but they do count as people for fire code capacity limits.

You really need to book for 4 if that's what you need. Keep trying - things do open up as people cancel.
