i have picked the favourite hedgehunter and dh has gone for clan royal, as an aston villa fan dh is debating about staking £1 on astonville its at 200/1 at the moment !!

We run a sweeper in our house after the paper prints the runners and riders. each horse's name is put in a hat and each person gets to pick randomly.
we usually end up with prizes of £8-10 for 1st, £6-8 for 2nd, £4-6 for 3rd, and £2-4 for 4th.
it is great fun with the grandparents, parents, children and cousins all usually having a small 50p wager!!
