I too found out about selling the 5% off coupons on eBay from this board. We at first wondered if anyone could pull any personal info from the barcode on the coupon. We too thought that might be the scam, so we researched it, came up with nothing, and proceeded to list each reward certificate as they came in the mail to us. (Why not, right? Everyone else is doing it! And making sweet money!)
I have sold four or five of these things and found it strange that all buyers had Los Angeles area addresses. So I Googled the street address of the latest one that I sold. Well dang, I found out in a right quick hurry what the scam is! The street address (but not the name of the person I sent it to at that address) was listed in a lawsuit brought by a major wireless carrier. The individual and his company at that address have people go out and bulk purchase mobile phones from Wal-Mart and Target. They then hack into the unit, making it unlocked, and sell them overseas.

A judgment was entered against this company for $5 million.
So now we know what the scam is. Ummmm, I dont think I want to be a part of that! I think Ill just use my little coupon to buy some paper towels or gum at Target from now on.
