I am super excited as I have just booked a trip to DLP for me and my partner for the new year

:woohoo: ......This is my first trip to DLP so I need some hints and tips.......:woohoo:

has anyone been for the new year celebrations before? how did you find them?

Is it unbareably busy? (considering the fact I have experienced xmas at WDW so I know what busy feels like in a disney park!!!!)

What are the must sees?

What should I avoid?

Any tips or advice ......good hidden/not so well known places to watch the parades from?

you get the idea ;) photos and stories welcome I love hearing about other peoples visits

lucky you! :thumbsup2

we went for 2005/2006 new years. was honestly the best trip to disney we have ever had! what i will say is to get as much done first thing in the day as possible. then just enjoy the atmosphere and shops for the rest of the day.

and also try to get a spot on main street a good few hours before the celebrations begin. the closer it gets to the end of the day the fuller the park gets.it took us nearly 30 minutes to get from the bottom of main street out of the entrance gates. trust me it gets busy!

but it will be one of the most magical new years you have ever had :wizard:

I am even more excited now!!!

Is main street definately the place to be at midnight then? or will the celebrations be just as good in other parts of the park? :confused3 just wondering perhaps there is a another less crammed spot somewhere thats just as good maybe?????

Hey

I'm going for New Year and have been there for New Year before (04/05 and 05/06). It will be busy and cold. The atmosphere will be amazing though. Don't expect to go on many rides during the day.

Main Street will be rammed - all around the Central hub as well - I've been stuck away in the trees before!

Have a fabulous time. :santa:
