I have how many food pix? Time for a dining review!! Completed!

Thank you for the PDA information....sounds like a great toy...lol about putting it in the frig...lol:lmao:
Thank you for posting the LTT pics, we have that scheduled for our trip and it was nice to see such clear pictures of everything!!
Looking forward to more!!

Enjoyed reading your report & seeing all your photos..thanks for sharing. :upsidedow

We liked LTT, too. The mac&cheese is soooo good! It's so much better than the stuff I can heat up at home!;)

still LOVING your reviews and pictures!

your report is FANTASTIC! Love the pic of Samantha Brown. Love the choco pretzel. Love the Big Kahuna (I dared DH to try it next trip- it looks soooo good). Love the idea of getting the fruit platter at BWBakery for breakkie the next morning. Great pics of le Cellier. THANK YOU! I'm officially dying now for the next 17 days to FLY BY!

This is such a great place for breakfast if you catch it at an off hour and don't have the huge crowds. DS and I also stopped there for a snack in the afternoon on the January trip. I'll start with that one.

The ice cream cookie sandwich:

mainstreetbakerycookiesandwichII.jpg

I had seen this on the DIS and wanted to try...DS wasn't interested until we got up to the counter and he was able to pick the cookies and watch the CM fill them with TONS of vanilla ice cream (his favorite!). He couldn't pick between sugar cookies and chocolate chip, so the sweet CM suggested he get both. The cookies were soft and good and the ice cream was basic Edy's vanilla. He hasn't stopped talking about this since and it is a must do for him on our next vacation.

We shared this and ended up throwing 1/3 of it out because it was so huge. And it was just one snack credit. :thumbsup2

Exciting breakfast for DS:

What can I say? A banana and milk

Breakfast to share for DH, DS and me take one:

French Toast Loaf - heaven!!! And the ham and cheese omelet croissant was great. DH also surprised me with a latte shake. This one was wonderful - much better than the one from the Boulangerie Patisserie. Not a refreshing morning beverage - more like a coffee flavored shake, but a totally yummy start to a Magic Kingdom vacation day.

Here it is from bfast II up close:

Bfast #2 (later on same trip!)

DH love love loved this cinnamon roll! I thought it was wonderful and it was the size of a small child's head. It was very sweet, but that doesn't mean it wasn't great. As you can see, we split a croissant sandwich again and I got another latte smoothie.

This place is great - pastries, yogurt, savory food...all fresh and good. And who can beat sitting on a patio with the castle as your view?

Your food reviews and pictures are great. Thanks for the info on the citrus groves. Our annual trip to the orchard may not happen this year-it was wiped out by a tornado.:( Maybe we can do oranges instead. It's nice to see another DIS lover from Wisconsin.
:offtopic: Just a comment about the brats=they may be great at Epcot but do not try them on a Disney Cruise. I do not know what those were but they were not brats.:scared1:

Man, I should so know better than to read dining reviews with pictures before bed...Now I'm hungry! :rotfl2:

Love the pictures! Soooo yummy looking! :goodvibes

We hit this CS spot on both trips - I love Mexican food, authentic and otherwise and DH indulges me since I make sure we eat at his favorites (Le Cellier and Yachtsman) at least once every trip.

On our first trip, we split the combination platter, nachos and the churros dessert.

Combinacion platter Take One:

cantinacombo-1.jpg

chicken taco, beef burrito and a quesadilla served with black refried beans and Mexican salsa (from allearsnet)

The chicken taco was okay, the cheese quesadilla was pretty greasy, but good and the beef burrito was also pretty good. The salsa was strange - I don't really like hot (temp) salsa, but the beans were very nice.

Nachos:

mexiconachos.jpg

These were very good, but you have to eat them fast because they get soggy quickly from the cheese sauce.

Churros:

DS loved these!

Cantina Take Two:

I decided to get the combination platter again and this time I was very disappointed. Everything was very, very greasy and I didn't eat much because I didn't want to upset my stomach.

DS ordered the cheese quesadilla and was less than interested...he wanted to get a Mickey ice cream sandwich so lunch was less appealing than dessert ;) . We ended up splitting his lunch.

This was extremely boring, but boring can be good and we both liked it a lot.

No DDP on Trip #2, so no churros. Instead we grabbed the Mickey sandwich for DS on the way out.

This is a great restaurant with a fantastic view of the water if you aren't looking for a gourmet experience. And the margarita place is right next door...:cool1:

This is a favorite of ours - we stumbled on it a few years ago when we were checking out the Art of Disney at DTD and DH ordered the spicy chicken pizza. YUM! We've since made it a tradition on our trips.

This trip we were on the DDP and as usual, we ordered a few entrees to split. DH picked the rosemary rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes and I decided to try the barbecue chicken quesadilla (yes, this time it was me picking the BBQ, not DH!). We both opted for creme brulee for dessert. DS shared with us.

Chicken:

This is always very good and the mashed potatoes are amazing good! The sauce is butter - I swear it! A definite favorite of DH.

BBQ chicken Quesadilla:

pebbqquesadilla.jpg

I really like this - I wasn't sure I would, but it was really, really good. I would definitely get it again.

dessert:

For a counter service restaurant, these were amazing good.

All in all, a great place to eat at DTD!

Yummm that bbq chicken quesadilla looked SO good!! Definately looks filling too! Did your son like it also?
Really enjoying this and looking forward to more!!

Your reviews are great! And thanks for the info on the Citrus Grove. That's one thing my mother would LOVE to do! Actually, she said that one thing she dreams of seeing is oranges growing on trees. Guess I can make that happen now!

EXCELLENT pictures and reviews!! :thumbsup2

I've got to try that french toast loaf - it looks wonderful! :goodvibes

Loving your reviews and all the photos, the Orange Grove sounds like a wonderful thing to do :)

love the reviews---glad this thread got bumped to the top--- do you (or anyone) know of any other place to get a fruit plate like the one at the boardwalk (used cs credits?)...

He definitely did!

DS always talks about his favorite fruit being "red navel oranges" now...not just oranges, but "red navels" because of the trip to the grove in November. It is SO worth the trip!!

EXCELLENT pictures and reviews!! :thumbsup2

It is delicious - and allears has the recipe to make at home!

Flame Tree BBQ has a beautiful fruit plate with yogurt for CS.

And thanks to everyone who's commented - I really love the feedback!

We decided to grab some lunch at Pecos Bills on Thanksgiving - we had never been there before and were impressed with the toppings bar. The main issue? The cheeseburger gets cold by the time you get it to your seat and the cold toppings don't help.

My CS meal - I have notes about this, but no photo for some reason...?

Bacon Cheeseburger, sliced apples for the side (in a really cute little Incredibles bag) and carrot cake. The cheeseburger was cold but still very good for fast food. DS ate half of the cheeseburger and all my apples ;). The carrot cake was refrigerator cold and tooth numbingly sweet:

pecosbillscarrotcake.jpg

This was all we could eat of it :rotfl: And I love cream cheese frosting.

DH's meal:

pecosbillslunchII.jpg

Of course he got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. His review: "Good....not as much as Flame Tree". He had baked beans that came as the side, which he doesn't remember and for some unknown reason he picked yogurt for dessert. I remember DS and I were both surprised that he wanted the yogurt instead of something less healthy, but in the end after the carrot cake sweetness overload guess who poached the yoplait and ate it? Yup. DS and me. :rotfl2:

All in all, this is a nice CS place to stop at a park, but not a memorable favorite. If the MK had places like WPE or EOS or FTBBQ, we'd bypass this one every time.
