I have how many food pix? Time for a dining review!! Completed!

That was so nice of the chef at ESPN to bring out the recipe for you. My dh is a chili fanatic. It looks really good.

This is fantastic.... love all the pics. I'm hungry now! Can't wait to try out some of your suggestions!!

DS loves these - he gets the rainbow. I believe this is melon, strawberry and orange. To me they are very sweet, but to him they are the ultimate snow cones!

Truly a favorite of our little boy!

Wow! I went back through all the photos and DANG do we have lots from Le Cellier, from two meals on the November trip. And we're so consistent that most of what we ordered was the same both times. But I took photos so I'll post them.

I know Le Cellier is very popular and most people have seen most of the photos here, but here goes!

The incredibly delicious and hot pretzel bread with the "Epcot ball" butter:

The incredibly (too?) sweet Mango Smoothie:

lecelliermangosmoothie.jpg

The Le Cellier Caesar Salad (DH loves Caesar salads, so tends to order often). Very good:

lecelliercaesarsalad.jpg

The shrimp cocktail with wasabi slaw (may it rest in peace...:sad1: )

lecelliershrimp.jpg

My favorite appetizer - the cheese soup:

lecelliersoup.jpg

Our waiter was such a sweetheart...after I ordered this he came back with it, and a copy of the recipe:

I do love this soup and have made it at home a lot over the years. But I tend to add a lot more bacon than it calls for and the beer I use is a dark Leinie's. I've also tried it with ham. It tastes the same if not better and it does make it easier to try other things or to skip the appetizer when we're at Le Cellier since we can have it at home.

Next up - DH's filet (both times)

lecellierfilet.jpg

lecellierfilet2.jpg

He loved this - a beautiful tenderloin with some bbq sauce (of course) and cream cheese mashed potatoes. I've had it also and I like it with the sauce on the side.

DS's entree both times - Child's steak with his choice of sides: green beans. The steak the first time (first photo) was okay, the second time it was much better. Both times the green beans were crisp tender. He loved it both times:

DS's drink - the Vanilla Smoothie (in reality, a vanilla ice cream shake). High thumbs up from him on this one:

lecelliervanillashake.jpg

And my entrees - the prime rib. The first time (first photo) it was perfect - the second time it may have been overcooked a wee bit. On the whole? Very good.

Thanks for posting "double" pics, double the drooling here! We love LeCellier.

DS's dessert - fruit salad to go

lecellierkidsfruitsaladtogo.jpg

DH's dessert - both times he got the citrus sorbet and just LOVED it both times!

lecelliersorbet.jpg

lecelliersorbet2.jpg

My desserts - the first time I ordered the apple pumpkin crumble with granola flavored ice cream (I think...??). It was okay, but very sweet. And I think the pumpkin part was pumpkin spice, no actual pumpkin. I ate about half and left the rest. I was extremely full from the entree though...

The second time I went back to an old standard we all loved:

lecelliermoose.jpg

All in all - we really like Le Cellier and are happy to be going back in July.

Hi! I saw in one of your pictures that your son had the Mickey PDA. I was wondering how much your family used this. I've been thinking about getting one for our Octoer trip. Thanks!

Are they serving the BBQ filet again?!? Please tell me that these are recent pics? And I've never seen that pumpkin dessert either...that looks amazing!!!

just curious....

what exactly is the chocolate mousse/moose at le cellier?

is that a formed cupcake with sprinkles, or just mounds of mousse?

Thanks! I thought about not, but decided hey! It's more pics!

Max loved it - he played with it for days and loves to play with it at home. He didn't really use it as it's intended though (fast passes and such) but when he has used it he has enjoyed it. They are about $20 and he got more than $20 of fun out of it.

I'm afraid not - they are recent in that we were there in November/December and January/February, but not since the menu change. :sad2: I did read on one thread that you can still order the mushroom filet with the shrooms on the side and sub the mashed potatoes for the risotto...this is what DH plans to do from now on. But not sure about the BBQ sauce.

It is two mounds of a dark chocolate mousse rolled in Oreo crumbs. Divine! It looks like a kid's dessert, but is actually much richer and darker than I expect for a child. SO good!

when you leave from le cellier, are you filled? i mean, are you satisfied with the amount of food you get, are you stuffed, or are you still hungry? i've seen several pictures and the portions look rather small...we have some big eaters in the family, including me, so i was just wondering if we will be satisfied with our meal...some have said that they are full, but they also loaded up on bread and appetizers...so if you just eat your entree...will you be okay? :confused3

Absolutely!! The servings may look small, but they aren't. Le Cellier does the whole "huge plate, stack food" style that is very popular and makes it look like you don't have much. I believe the filet is 8 oz and the prime rib was 12? 14?

The bread does come with your meal and you will love the pretzel bread - very good. And I think just having an entree will leave you very satisfied. I'm afraid that most times when we leave Le Cellier I am uncomfortably full with an appetizer, entree and half a dessert. Just the entree and the bread would be plenty.

One note - if you want to splurge and really treat yourself, I recommend the Inniskillen Ice Wine after dinner. If you like a sweeter wine (think Reisling) you will love this. It's not inexpenive, but a great treat.

Thank you so much for posting those pics of LeCellier! We are trying it for the first time on this upcoming trip and I'm so excited now - and double pics? All the better!

:goodvibes

I have asked DS what all he can do on his PDA and here is his list:

- it has scavenger hunts he can do at each park
- keep track of Fast Passes
- play a character game
- keep track of friends' email addresses
- keep track of phone numbers
- has a calculator
- you can put a password on it

I asked DH and here was his list:

- keep DS entertained for hours during meals, on the plane, etc.
- forget password and make a whole game out of trying to remember it and how DS originally spelled whatever the password was.
- drive parents crazy when the alarm goes off for no reason (something DS set earlier and forgot about). Not that this happened once and DH couldn't figure out how to turn it off and it ended up in the refrigerator because that was the only place in the house where we couldn't still hear it...hypothetically speaking  )

Seriously though - he loves it and for $20 it was a great buy. DH picked it up in the Beach Club Marketplace on the way to Le Cellier back in November and he still plays with it - it came back to WDW on the next trip in January.

First we start out with dinner rolls and a honey type butter - DS love love loved this and probably ate four rolls himself...!

lttrolls.jpg

A photo of the cute mugs the soda and water comes in:

lttsoda.jpg

Next up is a salad with a delicious strawberry vinaigrette. The salad by itself is good, but we love the dressing.

lttsalad.jpg

And then they bring over the main courses - flank steak, ham, turkey, corn bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, macaroni and cheese and green beans:

lttmain.jpg

lttmainplate.jpg

The turkey and ham were standard - good, but nothing special. The flank steak was excellent and we got seconds of it. The cornbread stuffing and gravy were okay and the mac and cheese are America's favorite frozen (Stouffers). DS enjoyed it greatly.

Dinner was huge and filling and as we ate right before the Christmas Party, the atmosphere was perfect. Dessert was very sweet, but overall good. A nice apple cobbler:

lttdessert.jpg

It was a good dinner and our third trip to the LTT for dinner. Likely, we'll be back.
