Glad I did..
So very true! I had to click on it just to see what the thread might say!

OK I actually don't (thankfully). But I am amazed at some of the posts I see here!
What is the "oddest" thread title in your mind? (Real or imagined)

You better be careful the Tag Fairy could be around:rotfl:

Well, it is morning now and I still have the visual in my head.

I think this may be a Dis first: There's food mentioned in the topic and no one is asking for recipes!

Maybe I can help.

Imagine you're sitting at the kitchen table having a cup of coffee with your girlfriends. You have a medical issue or you want to know what the best dog food is. Do you get up, tell them you'll be right back, go to your computer and Google? I don't think so. Since you're all chit chatting, you ask them about it. It's called conversation. Now that we're in the age of technology, we have online community of friends as well as offline friends, so we ask our hundreds of online friends for info and advice.

If you believe that people here don't also Google or speak to their doctors, as well as talking to their friends, well that naive notion is what surprises me.

Yep, what she said.:thumbsup2

Exactly.

Plus, "speaking" with individuals and getting answers to specific questions, plus their own observations on their experiences is often much more valuable than google. And, I'm pretty sure my doctor would drop me like a hot bagel bite if I decided to ring him up every time I had a question pop into my head.

The only ones that totally surprise me are he ones that give details on their daughters "coming of age" so to speak. My girls would have been mortified if they knew I told a bunch of on line strangers all about when they started.

Yeah, also the posts that give me pause are the ones that have very personal health details about *any* family-members' lives...

agnes!

OKAY. Lets have a contest. Everyone come up with a recipe for caulifower hemmoroids. It can be a side or an appetizer. Lets stay away from desserts.

OMG when I saw this I was thinking, Oh no she didn't just post that!!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I mean things like, I am bleeding really badly and it won't stop, do you think I should go to the doctor or wait till tomorrow and I hope I won't die before then. I have seen things close to that in the past, If you think that is something someone should post first instead of running immediately out to see a doctor or to go to the ER, then survival of the fittest I guess.

Oh, and it is pretty easy to tell the difference between questions that someone asked their doctor, and questions that they didn't. As far as using google first, I don't mean for a stupid question about dog food, insert roll-eyes here, but there are plenty of them here that are either meant to be private and shouldn't be asked, or are so simple that it should embarrass them that they had to ask here.

And no I don't wish to draw attention to or embarrass someone else by giving specific threads out to prove my point, but it definitely happens.

I am not totally sure what you are talking about... but I googled first and found no help, then went to the vet and got no help, and then asked a stupid-dog-food question here and got THE BEST advice ever! :thumbsup2

So your point is kinda :confused3 to me.

that's because you totally missed the point when I said I wasn't talking about having to google to ask someone's opinions on dog food, she brought it up, I didn't.
