I am 30 yrs old and I could never figure out what i wanted to do with myself. My DH has a very successful floor covering business and I felt worthless not having a real career. So,I have been thinking for about a year about Real estate and finally decided to call a school and speak with someone.I start my class September,Its suppose to be the 1st but I will be at Disney tillthe 4th so I will miss 2 classes but she said I could make those up on Saturdays.

I am So EXCITED,I can hardly contain myself.I called DH to let him know and he was so happy for me and excited that he said he would Love to take the course also.So I will have somone I can study with and we can help each other.

I had to share with somebody.

Congratulations on your decision, Misty! That is just great. It is such a great feeling to find something you are enthusiastic and excited about & you will have such a feeling of accomplishment when you finish. Good luck!!! :wave2:

Good for you! I bet it is a great feeling having decided on a career. Best of luck to you.

Congrats!!!!
I see you are in NC. That's where I was living when I decided to go into RE. Where in NC are you? I was just outside of Charlotte and took the classes thru Mingle. A great school. After I got my license I went to work at the Allen Tate Company. I highly recommend working for them. They are a great company and treat all their employees really well.
Good luck!

I am in Asheville,So I think that out:teeth: .I hope to pass it and find a job that I truly Love.

Thanks everyone for you good wishes,I am gonna need them.they say the state exam is a nightmare.

It wasn't that bad. I was real nervous, especially the math part (I hate math!) but I passed my first time out. They don't tell you what your score was, just if you pass or fail.

I'll give you a heads up, if after you take your exam and you get an 8 X 11 envelope from them, you passed. If you get an envelope, you failed. I ran to my mailbox everyday and waited for that big manilla envelope! LOL

You'll do fine.....believe me, if I can pass anyone can pass! LOL

How long does it take after the test to find out if you passed or failed?

Congratulations!

It is hard to find a career that is fulfilling and I hope you will love it!
Good luck in your class and the testing!::yes::

That is awesome that you found something that you truly are excited about! I'm sure you'll do great and then become a successful agent. Best of luck to you!

I might consider this after I retire if I can't get an interior design company going. Is being an agent really hard after you pass your tests and get your license? I know several agents that work really hard and make great money. I guess the harder you work, the more money you make.
