I have been moved out of AKL by Disney

OP, this is a bummer! On a positive note, consider that you are getting a more expensive hotel and bigger room. Have you thought about dining at ALK even though you are not staying there? I called this morning and they BOMA had a couple of reservation cancellations. Maybe your TA could get Disney to cover a meal there if you don't already have the DDP? From what others have posted, they have been very accomodating for some people. Good luck!

OP - we will be at the Poly at the same time for the same reason. We are really excited to be staying at the Poly. We looked at it when we made the original ressie, but couldn't justify the extra $1200. Only 41 more days!

Strange thing ... why are they moving people when you can still book a room?

I went on the web page for Disney and was able to find a room at the AKL for the OP's dates (Aug. 31-Sept. 9.) I guess it will not be long before people are booking the AKL in hopes of getting offered another, more expensive resort for the same price ...

When I called a few days ago I wanted to pay for my room to be changed from a pool view bunk to a standard CL ... the CM said there was no standard CL rooms left for my dates (12/19-12/29.) I also asked if there would be any problems with the consturction and the CM said no and said that "Disney would not sell rooms if there was going to be a problem." I sure hope he is right.
