Good afternoon everybody!!! Just wanted to post with an update from my MRI on Tuesday morning. When last we left our brave heroine she had found that the tumor was more translucent with some necrosis of the tissue (which means GOOD news). Just today I did some leg work to track down the report and the result is good news as well. NO NEW GROWTH!!! Now, that's not shrinkage, but I'll take it!!!!! I'll meet with my oncologist officially next Tuesday and get a copy of the report myself but I just had to share!!!

As an add on..I know I have mentioned my friend that has the same tumour...well he has MRI's every 4 months and there has been NO growth coming up to 6 years now so I wish that for you too!!!

Yes, Karen Good memory!

He had the conventional...surgery to get what they could...about a year of Chemo and Radiation combined then he tried the Holistic approach which he still does. Massive Vit C infusions...Mistletoe ?? injections...I am not sure right now he does a lot but there is still some of that approach in his life for sure. I think I gave you their email didn't I?

We have a friend who has lived with a glio for the last 10 years!!! He was given a 3-5 yr time frame. This past summer they saw growth and the prognosis was bad. He had experimental treatment and is still living strong.

Checking in!!! All is still going well. Instead of an MRI my Dr. sent me to have a PET/CT scan. The tumor's uptake was only at 4.8 which is very good...almost within the normal range which is 3-4 percent.

What a relief!!

The school year is coming to an end. I am so happy to have a more relaxed schedule with the family....we like to sleep late and stay up late to star-gaze (and Space Shuttle/Space Station gaze). Time for cookouts, water parks, and fireworks! So many things to look forward to !!!!
