Ok my sister said she would give me 100 bucks for my trip if I don't pack until the night before. no list either, no setting aside things.

I don't know if I can do it, should I.

Kae

I would go for it.....I always pack the night before anytime I take a trip, without a list too. Just have in your head what you need to pack and where things are.

I would. Just keep a mental list. We are surprising our boys with our November trip, so I will pack the night before for 4 people!

My dd could win that challenge handily. :lmao: That girl packs as the rest of us are loading the car. I don't pack in advance either but tend to give myself a bit more leeway than she does.

Give it a try!

If its just YOUR suitcase, then DO IT. If shes talking about yours, your kids, and DH, then I don't know... may be a bit hard. But for $100 - you could BUY whatever you forgot!

Well, I say go for it....but if she is anything like my sister you will never see the $100...she will find some loophole!!!! :sad2:;)

oh, I don't think I could do it. We leave next Friday and I started pulling things out for our trip 3 weeks ago; packed the kids clothes last Saturday and got most of my clothes pulled out yesterday. Pretty much all I need to pack now is DH's stuff. And I have lists up the wazoo......no way could I wait until the night before!

I think I would end up spending the $100 on things I forgot... ;)

I've already started a list for DD's Heritage Tour, and that's in February! lol

go for it. like someone else said, you can keep a mental list. $100 can buy a lot of Mickey bars and popcorn!!!

Your sister would not make that bet with me since that is how we pack.;)

I will give you my rundown tips.....

Do all laundry and you are good to go. You pack toiletries and meds right after your showers.

You can bring up the suitcases ahead of time (clean them out) and mentally "pack" to size up the space & beach type bags you are going to need. That is gathering and not really packing.

Any snacks or food you bring for the trip will already be bagged from the store so technically you did not "pack them".;)

Shoes can be cleaned up and set aside ready to pack.

Yea... there alot of loopholes here.:rotfl: I might pass it up. I could see her not giving you the dough because you did something that she considers packing.

It's not hard to do. I pack the night before a trip or if I'm leaving later the morning of.

I start packing literally months ahead of time. I have toiletries that I keep in the closet for traveling. I bring the suitcases down, I pack the ponchos, etc. However, inevitably, I unpack and repack multiple times before the trip. Can't remember what's in the bags. :rotfl: Finally, I unpack and repack the night before just to make sure. So yeah, go ahead and take the bet. If you're anything like me you'd have to do it all over again anyway, just to be sure what's in the suitcase. ;)

Ohhhh, I love a challenge ESP when the reward is $$$$!!!! :goodvibes

BUT that being said, packing, oh my, I start several weeks before I go anywhere with lists etc etc.

I would absolutely go for it, OP, if it was just YOU. I think that will be really hard for you to wait and pack the entire family the night before.

Are you allowed to make lists of what you need?

I'd do it.....no problem!! But I also keep a toiletry bag ready to go, nothing else, just the toiletries and I usually end up repacking that as well. I always forget if I remembered to "restock" it after our last trip! LOL

I've already started packing and I have a little more than a month to go. I have a Disney bin that I throw things into everytime we have a trip. Mostly ponchos, halloween lights, and my small stuffed Disney character I put in the window. Nothing like clothes, shoes or toiletries. That doesn't happen till the day before. I've learned my lesson. If I start packing too early, I'll hafta repack because I'll forget what I pack.

I usually pack the morning of or late the night before so I could do this easily.

That being said, your sister said you could not make a list.... she never said we couldn't make you a list. You could tell us ages (if you are packing for children) of those you will be packing for to give us an idea of what kind of stuff you will need and we could start a list on here of things to remember. The night before, you just come back to this thread and pack! Too easy and $100 for you!!!:thumbsup2

The rules

No lists

No putting stuff aside

I may pack the kids-they are not going with us but going to my moms.

I have to pack for Me & DH. and we are going on a 5 day cruise followed by 5 days at WDW. i have prepaid for 2 suitcases.

And my sister will pay up. she is the type to everthing last minute & she thinks to know which park on which day at WDW is over planning. And my one ADR per day is crazy. As for spending the $100 on stuff I forgot DH is ok with that as long as I win.;) and I do have a lot of my packing in my head.

Heck yea I'd do it for $100!

I packed 3 wks before we left but I could do it the night before for $100. But those few weeks before we left it would be like having an itch I couldn't scratch.

I don't think I would be able to do it for the cruise...I like having everything planned for the cruise especially the little extras but go for it...you will be about 100 dollars richer :thumbsup2
