I seriously can't stop watching it, I use to be only like that with the Food Network. I don't know why I can't pull myself away from these mystery and crime shows.

Will it make you feel better to know you are not alone? I love ID, I watch it all the time. It's on 24 hours, so no matter what time it is, I can watch some kind of crime show.

And oh yeah, my sister told me she watches it all the time too. So there are more of us out there!

Count me into this club too, it's my go-to channel. I love the 24 hour thing too....think the only thing I haven't liked was the series James Ellroy did. It was a good premise but I couldn't stand his style of speaking.

Wow, my son thinks I'm so WEIRD because I watch it all weekend long!! :lmao: I used to count on TruTv for my real life crime stories but they play too many corny "reality" type shows. ID is awesome! :thumbsup2

I'm right with you, ID is the best channel. I loved a few weeks ago when they had a day long marathon of deadly women. I also love it when I see a story I've seen before but on a different show told from a little different perspective.

I feel so much better that I am not the only one. My favorite 2 shows are Disappeared and I (Almost) Got Away With It.

I so miss Forensic Files on TruTV. I never seem to catch it anymore...

I love those shows. I would say it's the lawyer in me, but I loved them before I ever went to law school. The only time they really freak me out a bit is when I knew the people, met them, etc. And considering how many shows center on TX, sadly, I've known a decent number.

Not long ago, they replayed the episiode about the yogurt shop murders in Austin, TX, which happened when we lived there. That case has always upset me because we went in that shop a lot and the two girls that worked there waited on us often. Really nice girls. When the murders happened and they showed the pictured of the girls on the news, it was awful because I recognized them at once. Of course, it was all over the news for ages in Austin.

Months after the murder, I was in a fabric shop and there was a familiar woman in line ahead of me. I "knew" her, but I couldn't place her. My DH's work? From law school? Church? The neighborhood? It was really bugging me because I just KNEW I knew her. Normally, I would have spoken to her and asked where we might know each other from, but something stopped me that day. I thank God it did. About 2 minutes after she walked out, it hit me that I "knew" her from TV and she was the mother of two of the girls murdered at the yogurt shop. If I had spoken to her, surely she would have realized why I probably recognized her and I know that would have hurt her. I have never forgotten that. Poor woman.

I saw that episode. Broke my heart.

I love ID too! I always know when there is nothing else on I can always turn to that channel and there is something interesting on.

We're watching it right now!:rotfl: I love just about all of their shows. I have to be careful though. I have a 5 year old in the house and I don't want her seeing some of the stuff they have on.

Add two more ID lovers here! I discovered this channel about 3 weeks ago and haven't turned it off!

I have friends who are also addicted to that channel. I have seen some pretty interesting shows on there, seems pretty cool.

Disappeared is my #1 favorite tv show ever. I just shake my head in wonder that people have disappeared so competely. I remember the couple that owned the marina from the news, and I really hadn't read any follow up information. So when their story aired, I was able to catch up. Also, having 2 teenage dds and being in Myrtle Beach a few months after Brittaney Drexel disappeared, was very eerie to me. Yes, I am addicted to that channel.

LOL, my son falls asleep on the couch sometimes while I'm watching it and claims he has bad dreams because of it! :lmao:

My obsession with forensics and true crime started WAY back with Unsolved Mysteries and John Walsh's show. What I love about these shows is we KNOW the outcome now. I don't want to hear that the perp is still at large, I like hearing they got their JUST REWARDS~ :thumbsup2 It's pure justification!

I also liked Snapped on Oxygen. I have to tape it, though, because I HATE the promos for Bad Girls Club or Aubrey.:scared1: It's the only show I can stomach on Oxygen. :sad2:

I like ID too and also used to be a fan of TruTv. I rarely watch it anymore, because like you I dislike the reality format. Not my style. The format really changed when they changed the name and I can't even remember now what they used to call it. I was also an unsolved mysteries fan and miss that one.

DD13 and i LOVE to watch ID, but i had to turn it earlier-there was an episode of "deadly women" on from 8pm-9pm CDT, and it was pretty explicit-included simulated sex. just because DD knows all about it, doesn't mean she's allowed to sit and watch it. shame on you, DW, the show would've been just fine without the raunch.

I love I.D.! It's my go-to channel right now.

I like that it's all for real. :)
