The model # is vivicam 5100. The date function is turned on to where the date automatically shows on the picture...Can someone tell me how to turn that function off...I cant find it in the manual...TIA

In the Capture menu, you can determine the conditions you would like to choose such as Size, Quality, Scene, EV,
White Balance, ISO, Color, Saturation, Sharpness and Date Imprint.

one more question...and i cant find this either...If i took a picture, i turn off the date imprint and now i go and save it on the computer, will the date be there still?? or will i have to retake the pic??

The date should automatically be imbedded in the picture's "metadata". Metadata is extra data that is included inside the picture.
If you have a PC, the easiest way to view this metadata (and the date) is to right-click the photo, select "Properties". The date should be there. Also, there's more data under the "Details" tab, too.
If you're using a photo editing program, you should be able to view the date there, too.
