Oh hey! Didn’t see ya there!! So, I figured that there are 17 days until we leave for Disney World, so I should probably put some of my plans on the disboards. I don’t know about you, but I’m one of those people who likes to check out who’s gonna be there at the same time as me, and possibly arrange some Dismeets and such. However, before we get into that, or anything really, we’ll get into some introductions and all the important details!

Who:

First off, there’s me; Katt:

Photo0197FourBySix.jpg

Ballroom dancer and Disney enthusiast by day, and bartender by night at your local Dinner Theatre (up here in Calgary Canada that is!) I’ve been traveling to Disney for a nearly two years now and have experienced something new and amazing with every trip that has occurred. My dream for life right now involves performing with Disney in some form, whether I’m *friends* with a character, performing in a parade, or even hanging out with Chip and Dale, it’s all cool. My ultimate dream job would be to be the Blue Bird Dancer in the Festival of the Lion King Show. UGH! LOVE!!

My favorite characters include: Tink, Periwinkle, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tigger, and the Bimbettes from Beauty and the Beast, I have a huge love for Splash Mountain, the music loop from Adventureland, and falling down stories in broken service elevators!

Now, the person I’m taking with me on this trip, is Paige:

Photo0364FourBySix.jpg

She’s recently turned 19, and had the amazing birthday/Christmas present surprise of this trip! We have travelled together to Disney once before, last Sept, and had the trip of a life time. This girl is the sister I never had, and I will keep going to Disney with her until we’re dead (and let’s face it, at that point, we’ll be the newest residences of the Haunted Mansion, lol!) Her favorite characters include Tink, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Jack Skellington, and she loves flying through Space, terrifying elevators, racing through the Himalayas, and most importantly, exploring Mickey’s imagination!

When: Sunday February 24 to Saturday March 2
-We had originally planned for the weekend right after my dance competition, but I realized that’s opening of the next show at work and I couldn’t take that off, so we bumped it a week, then I checked crowd calendars, yeah, not happening! Eventually we replanned to a low week of the month and we were all set to go!

Where: Disney’s Pop Century Resort!!
-Since I was gifting the trip to Paige, as much as I would have loved to stay at a Deluxe or Mod, I was only wanting to spend the money for a Value, and Pop is the nicest (minus AoA, but we had stayed there last time, so it’s all good!)

I like staying at different resorts every time too, it adds to the experience for Paige, and I love Pop, it is a really nice resort for the price, plus, I got a pretty nice discount with my AP

Plans!

Sun Feb 24: Arrival, head into Magic Kingdom a bit before heading out for an ADR for dinner

Mon Feb 25: Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with an excursion for a quick service lunch!

Tues Feb 26: Magic Kingdom

Wed Feb 27: Wizarding World of Harry Potter, followed by Epcot. We have an ADR dinner here as well! Yay.

Thurs Feb 28: Animal Kingdom. Tonight we have a special dinner show to attend, and there’s a *very* strong chance I will be attending a look alike audition today!

Fri March 1: Park hopping!!
-Start at DHS
-To Animal Kingdom
-End at Magic Kingdom with a VERY special and amazing dinner that I was very lucky to get an ADR for with such short notice!

Sat March 2: We depart! Sad face! I had originally booked us in at Kona for a pre-flight breakfast, but I couldn’t find a return flight later in the day that fit our price range, boourns!

Anyhow, those are our plans so far, and I’ll be sure to go into more detail and show lots of pictures in the rest of the updates! I also thought, since everyone kinda does it now, we could do the ADR guessing game! We’ve got four in total, I listed minor details up there, they’re all in the parks that we will be in, unless otherwise stated, anyone wanna take some guesses??

Day 1 will start with us getting up BRIGHT and early, or maybe staying up all night, who knows? We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, as we have to be at the airport for something like 4:30am so that we can get our little butts over to the airport for our flight!

I won’t bore you with the details, but after a quick stop in Denver, we’ll arrive in Orlando at 3:32pm! HECK YES! I LOVE EARLY FLIGHTS!! Hence why I booked these ones, and they were the cheapest I was going to get, let’s be serious! We’ll take a nice little ride on the Magical Express:

6-1.jpg

And obviously, we’ll soon be arriving at Pop Century (I’ve already done online check in, so hopefully we’re somewhere CLOSE to Classic Hall!)

Disney200500442.jpg

We’re hoping for a nice and quick check in and walk to the room as we’ve got plans! We’ll both be changing before heading out, as it’s DAPPER DAY in both Disney World and Land on Feb 24. For those of you that don’t know, Dapper Day is a guest planned event where you are invited to “dapper up” in nice clothes and enjoy the parks like they did back in the day, obviously 50’s wear is the big “theme” that you go for! I’ve picked up dresses and jewelry for the two of us and it’s going to be great. Paige and I will be heading to:

22-1.jpg

Magic Kingdom!! Our plans don’t revolve around much today, but we do have some idea of things to do! Since I know Periwinkle will officially be leaving thanks to it being Spring, we’re going to say our goodbyes to her! See, Paige and I are Tink and Peri! We’re a lot like sisters, and I’ll cal Paige “My Tink” and I’m “Her Peri” kinda thing. For MNSSHP last year we dressed as them, so obviously a good bye is in order!

195-3.jpg

See! We’re adorable!! I am really sad Peri’s leaving, but I understand that frost fairies don’t mix so well with other seasons! And this means that Rosetta, Terrance and Vidia will be returning to pixie hollow! Yay!

Another character that we’ll be having to say farewell to this trip is Naveen! SUPER SAD FACE! See, with the opening of Fairytale Hall in New Fantasyland, chances are we’re going to see Tiana in there, and Naveen will say good bye. Obviously, (for those of you who have read previous TRs you know why we want to go hang out with Naveen for a bit!)

There are a few Dapper Day meet ups in the Magic Kingdom today, we’ll most likely end up missing the first couple of them, but there’s one at the carousel at around 7pm, so we’ll hang out around there for a little while and talk with our fellow Dapper friends! Since we’ll be back in Fantasyland, there’s naturally only one thing to do either right before or after the ride;

IMG_2252.jpg

IMG_3460.jpg

NEW FANTASYLAND OF COURSE!!! I’m dying just thinking about all of it, like it’s absolutely amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to see all of it in November when I was down there solo, but I can’t wait to share the whole thing with someone else, especially Paige! Chances are we’ll just have a little look around, and depending on the time, and how much time we’ve got, we can pop in to meet Ariel, or take a Journey Under the Sea quickly!

IMG_3467.jpg

IMG_4263.jpg

IMG_4298.jpg

When it hits around 8:00, maybe a tad earlier, it will be time for us to now head out of Magic Kingdom, and onto my beloved monorail, as we’ve got an ADR for dinner, so we’ll be heading over to the Grand Floridian!

DSCF0326.jpg

We’ve got dinner booked over at 1900 Park Faire, where we did our “last day breakfast” on our last trip, and it wasn’t that good…now, neither experiences I’ve had with breakfast have been as good as I would like them to be, but dinner I’ve had here before was amazing, so I’m hoping it lives up to that too! I’m personally just really excited about the delicious food, and the Tremaines, I mean, they’re always such a blast!

1900ParkFare.jpg

IMG_3423.jpg

IMG_3438.jpg

Om nom!! Chances are after dinner we’ll both be pretty wiped, so we’ll look around the resort beforing hopping back onto Disney transportation, and heading back to Pop, as it’ll be time for bed, we’ve got a full week ahead of us!

IMG_3445.jpg

IMG_3447.jpg

Hi, Katt! :wave2:
Looks like we're gonna be at EPCOT the same day! :thumbsup2 (And resort neighbors...I'm staying at AoA!) I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you. Have a great trip!

-Danielle

Hi!! Glad to see you're reading along!! How fun!! We'll have to keep an eye out for each other!! Ah! AoA is awesome, have a fun trip!!!

Well, it’s officially Day 1 of our trip, and we have a jam packed day full of fun planned for today! Depending on how we’re feeling, we might either just get up and have a small snack in the room, or head down to the food court to grab breakfast and fill up our mugs!

798253_10151466434765148_1692224823_o.jpg

Yum!! Disney food! Words cannot express how excited I am to eat the deliciousness that is Disney food again!! With our bellies full we’ll jump on a bus and be on our way! UGH, I CANNOT WAIT for the busses, is that weird? Lol. I love the little announcements they have on the busses the whole “Welcome aboard!” kinda thing, LOVE!

MyFloridasVacations035.jpg

Hopefully the bus will still look like this too, I’m not a big fan of the new designs. I mean, c’mon Disney, you can’t redesign the princesses AND the busses all in one year, that’s just too much for us Disney fans! Lol. Today Paige and I are headed off to Hollywood Studios! Here’s hopin we’ll get there right for rope drop!

Photo0440FourBySix.jpg

The first stop of the day will be Toy Story Mania of course, probably standby after grabbing a fast pass for later!

7-3.jpg

122-3.jpg

Then it’s time for our big rides of the day, naturally, one of our favorites, Tower of Terror is in order!

14-3.jpg

And after warming up with the dysfunctional elevator, we’ll be braving something that neither of us have done before, and we’re both actually pretty scared about, but hey, sometimes you gotta man up and do it!

13-3.jpg

It’s time for Rock n Rollercoaster!! IEEE! I’ve always been too chicken to go on it, and Paige didn’t want to go in Sept, so I didn’t go either. It should be interesting to see how we both react to it, and who knows, maybe we’ll end up going more than once, or maybe the one ride on it will be more than enough!! With the hard core rides done, we’ll probably want to take it easy for a bit, so a journey under the sea, or a very 3 DDDDDD adventure, or just tons of pictures will be in order!

20-3.jpg

Photo0432FourBySix.jpg

30-3.jpg

Somewhere in there we’ll use our Toy Story Mania fast passes, and probably take another few rides on Tower of Terror, we got up to 6 rides on it last time, and we want to be able to beat that this trip!

71-3.jpg

Naturally, we’ll want to catch some of the shows, I heard through Mousesavers (I think) that the Beauty and the Beast show would be closed while we were there, but on the WDW website, it says nothing of the sort, so who knows?! If it’s open, we’ll DEFINITELY be stopping there!

51-2.jpg

52-3.jpg

I also want to check out Disney Channel Rocks, and possibly the parade, as we missed them both last time, and they’re pretty high energy, and I do like them, so hopefully Paige will too! We’ll probably pick either the Indiana Jones or Lights Motor Action show, and catch one of those too, but soon enough, it’ll be time to head out to lunch/early dinner, and that involves a nice little walk over here:

IMG_3696.jpg

Where we’ll be headed over to the Beach Club (?) lol, for Beaches and Cream!

P1010033.jpg

03-06FebTravellingMKandAK054.jpg

Yum!! We’ll most likely take it slow and use this as our midday break, explore the resorts over there a bit and the Boardwalk before heading back to DHS as there’s really only one thing left for us to do at this point!

80-4.jpg

Yup!! It’s time for Fantasmic!! It’s a hands down favorite of both Paige and I, so there’s no missing it! We’re both such emotional saps that we can’t make it through the first few minutes of the show, and within the last five minutes, Paige can’t make it past Steamboat Willie driving the boat around, and I can’t even think about the moment when Mickey pops up on top of the mountain at the end without dying!

136-3.jpg

143-3.jpg

154-3.jpg

Some imagination huh? AAAGGGGHHHH, my feels! If we’re not too sleepy or done at this point, we might pop over to Downtown Disney tonight, shop for a little bit, maybe grab a nighttime snack before heading back to Pop for sleep!

I'm here!

And here are my guesses!

1900 Park Fare
Beaches and Cream
Le Cellier
Hoop De Doo
Be Our Guest

OOPS! I didn't realize that you'd started revealing! I did pretty good!

I didn't know you had started this!

For the last three ADRs I'm going to guess
La Hacienda
Spirit of Aloha
Be Our Guest

The Beauty & the Beast show at DHS was closed while I was there in early January, so I doubt it will close again in March.

I'm joining in! Your plans looks great and I'm excited to hear how the audition works out.

As for ADRs, obviously you said

1900 park and beaches and cream.

My guesses are:

Le Cellier
Spirit of Aloha
Be Our Guest

Your trip is so soon! How exciting !

I'm here! Getting ready to head home from work now so I'll try to catch up later tonight or tomorrow sometime.

All caught up! Your plans sound great so far. I thought about going to Beaches and Cream for lunch on my HS day but I have an early dinner at Mama Melrose and I don't think I can do both in one day!

I know one of your other ADRs!

Glad you're all here to read along, some of you are going good with the ADR guesses, obviously when it comes to the end, you'll all get five hypothetical points for each one you get right!! Yay. Also, yes, I'm being lazy and not doing chapter links, lol.

*******************

Welcome to Day 3 ladies and gents! Today is Tuesday February 26, and today we will be up bright and early, probably with a light breakfast in the hotel room before we head down to the bus stop, as we’ve got to get to the park early to catch the rope drop!

IMG_4211.jpg

MAAAAAGGGGIIIICCC KIIIINNNGGGGDOOOOMM!!!!!! Yayayayayaya!! Obviously we want to head to the park early so that we can get in for the rope drop show!! Last year we caught it and were both naturally the emotional wrecks that we are, cried through it, lol.

IMG_4216.jpg

We’ll head down Main street, probably stop for a photopass or two along the way, but our target will be to go straight through the castle, and head in to the Fantasyland Expansion!

IMG_4226.jpg

Obviously Enchanted Tales with Belle will be our first thing of the day, as the lines for it just get worse as the day goes on, and it’s a pretty cute experience. Since the crowds will be better we’ll pop through the Expansion to check it out with less people in them.

IMG_4254.jpg

IMG_4263.jpg

IMG_4292.jpg

Hopefully we’ll have some time to go through some of Storybook Circus, or any of the rest of Fantasyland, mainly stuff like Peter Pan that will need at least a fast pass!!

IMG_4377.jpg

Paige and I will have enough time to get through Fantasyland for sure and maybe either a quick character meet or grab some fast passes for Space Mountain, and then it’ll be back to the expansion, we’ve got some very important lunch plans, and we’ll want to be there early to make it quick!

IMG_4311.jpg

That’s right, it’s time for Lunch at Be Our Guest!! We’ve got to experience it as many times as we can, I mean, it’s absolutely beautiful in there!!

IMG_4327.jpg

IMG_4352.jpg

We’ll finish up and explore the rest of the park, taking time for Frontierland, Adventureland, and some of our favorite character greets around the park too!

IMG_4387.jpg

IMG_4401.jpg

IMG_3448.jpg

IMG_3461.jpg

(of course this won’t be happening….as Splash is down for refurb, but we’ll be sure to hit up BTMRR) Thanks to Paige and I really loving all the parades and shows, we definitely won’t be missing the Move It Shake It Celebrate It, maybe even watching it twice, AND of course dancing around doing all the choreo from it. We’ll Celebrate our Dreams Coming True, and even spend some time Dreaming Along With Mickey!

IMG_3409.jpg

107-4.jpg

96-5.jpg

And of course we’ll be sticking around for the evening entertainment, especially Wishes! Gotta love those fireworks!

188-1.jpg

Naturally, we’ll be having lots of fun snacks and fun times during our Magic Kingdom day, there will be lots of repeats of rides and we’ll be meeting practically all of the characters that we can! I really want to spend a lot of time in the FLE playing around, and taking lots of different photos in fun places, especially since I was solo last time I was down there, and I’ve seen some awesome photopass spots around the area too!

Places Paige and I will probably cry today:
-Rope Drop Show
-Being inside FLE
-Eating at Be Our Guest
-Dream Along with Mickey
-Wishes

Once we have completely emotionally exhausted ourselves for the day, we’ll very slowly make our way out of the park so that we’re not caught in the gong show mess of the busses, and head back to Pop!

Following along! Sounds like you've got a great trip coming up!! So jealous you will be in WDW in less than a week!

Your MK plans make me wish I was there lol!

Looks like a great day and I definitely fully support the crying at all mentioned occasions.
