for in sept when I am down in WDW. what might I expect from this tour and what things will they go over with me?

any advice will greatly be appricated!!
I was told they are sending a car to pick me up.

:flower: We were there in July and decided to take the tour. The DVC van picked us up from Pop and took us to Saratoga Springs. All 4 kids went to the kids play room and we were introduced to our sales rep who gave us a tour of the different size rooms. He was very friendly and knowlegable. After the tour, he took us to his office where he explained the point system and gave us examples using a program on the tv. We discussed the finances, but at know time felt any pressure. Then we went to pick the kids up - they had a blast. They took us to a special ice cream parlor and we all got a dish of ice cream (for free!). As a thank-you for taking the tour, they gave us 12 VIP Fastpasses to use within the next 2 days. It was a nice break and definitely worth the time (only about and hour in all).

Wow, you got off easy.

They took us to an office that looked suspiciously like the boiler-room in the Tower Of Terror. Then they preformed a hard-sell grind for three hours until we signed.

No, wait a second... That was at Gatorland. Nevermind.

This was our experience but no kids and no FP! We did get the ice cream though.

We never did the tour. Buying in sight unseen, we just showed up after 3 attempts to see the property officially through a tour (and having 3 different attempts thwarted by storms, guide on a cruise, etc). They were very nice and called someone who gave us the quick look around the "open house" rooms. We had a few questions, but tried not to be trouble either since they really DON'T want members just dropping in.

lllovell---Why did it matter that your guide was on cruise? Shouldn't any of the staff be able to handle a tour?

Yep...they sure could have and it would have been nice if he called back and told me such since I called him 2 times 3 weeks before we went down.

My guide and I don't see eye to eye on things like returning phone calls and calling people ON THEIR CELLS if that is what they ask, etc. Thank goodness I now know oh so many more things about DVC and it doesn't effect me.

The way they market DVC at the parks I would imagine a walk-up window with a menu... "I'd like the 150 point SSR happy meal, please."
