We always rent a car, but on our January trip we have two groups of arriving and departing guests. It means that we will be making an airport run on Friday night to pick up arriving guests, but our DD is leaving on Saturday at 1 pm, and we would then have to make another airport run that day to deliver her there.

My question is....Is there a way for DD to arrange to take DME one way only? She will be arriving with us, and we will have the rental car, so no need to take it from the airport to AKV, but she would definitely like to take it on her return trip Saturday.

If she can do that, do we have to arrange it now? She will not have any checked bags, but only a carryon.

She should be able to arrange a return ride to the airport at the resort, after she gets there. That shouldn't be an issue. As long as she is on the resort reservation.

I'm lazy so I would make all of our guests use DME. :surfweb:

You can pre-book DME for your DD, not use the arrival voucher and only use the departure voucher.

For our family reunion, we stayed in a Vacation Home for the first few nights and then finished with 3 nights at SSR.

I had 42 people coming and going. We were so wore out going back and forth to MCO picking up (because we stayed offsite no ME) that I sent them all packing on ME back to the airport!:rotfl: You just call like you normally do and as long as they are on the reservation, they will set it up for you.

Definite argument to stay onsite for the large family gatherings. We spent so much on gas and tolls and time.

I would use it both ways unless you are not onsite for your later arriving guests, even with a car.

That's what I was hoping. Would we arrange that when we check in?

you can - you can also call ms now and do it.

you might be able to fill out the form - on dvcmember.com

now it is good for going - not certain if returning is on it too - I think so just not sure

under vacation planning - disney's magical express - the form is a click on at the bottom of the page.

I have booked a one way return to the airport for myself and guests and I do it on line. I get a form from DME before I go with the coupon to use as you board the bus. If you have pre booked it, you will also get a letter to your room the day before and the letter has the bar code as well. You can use either the coupon from the DME booklet or the letter code.

The booklet simply says "no information given" for the "to resort" column, and it gives the return home flights on the other page.

I have booked and used DME for a return trip from SSR to the airport. I completed my reservation for DME on the dvc member website and just completed the returning information.
