I have a couple ?'s for the teens out there

I just have a couple questions for the teens out there (or anyone that can answer them).

First of all, are there any teens traveling on the Jan. 18, 2003 Western Magic Cruise. I'm 13 and I would like to get to know some people before the cruise.

Next, can anyone tell me about how many teens are usually on board? I have been on a cruise before, but I wasn't a teen then, so I wouldn't know.

Thanx for your help, and I look forward to meeting the 1/18 cruisers.

The number of kids and teens depends greatly on the school year and vacations.

I don't know how to guess about January 18 since it is too late for Christmas vacations but is about right for Martin Luther King's birthday (when some schools schedule vacations) and for between-semester breaks for certain schools.

On the 6/27/2002 3-day Wonder (during summer vacation for nearly everyone!!!), there were 650 teens and a completely full ship.

Okay, I'm not a teen but I wanted to say when we sailed 2/2002 there were over 850 kids on the ship with us. You wouldn't have known it though.

Don't worry about trying to hook up with anyone beforehand. We tried to hook up with adults and it doesn't work out. Just go to Common Grounds on the first day. DD17 had a good time - they got invites to parties in CG and all. Plenty of activities to do. Just bring you! Wish my parents had taken me on a cruise when I was your age. Have fun!!!!!

Sorry, I'm not cruising in Jan. I get to go in Aug 2002.

Anyway, just make sure that you go to Common Grounds on the FIRST day of the cruise. That is when all the "friend making" takes place. After that, it is hard to get into a friend group.

E-mailing has worked for me so far. It just might be worth a try for you.

I just recently went on a cruise, the June 29th wonder. I wasn't nervous about meeting friends because this was like 2nd Disney cruise and i had known all about Common Grounds. Another reason was because i had 2 of my best friends with me on that cruise, I am 16 and one of my friends is 17 while the other was also 16.

On the 1st day you board there is open house with Common Grounds, this is where you go and check in, and meet the counselors, and mom/dad can check out common grounds. We hung out in CG and asked the counselors who had checked in, and if any of the people were our age. As people walked in that looked like they could have been my age, i would introduce myself and we would start asking questions about each other, and pretty soon there was a tight group of older teens that i hung out with the whole week.

I can't tell you how many were on the ship, but there were alot! Most of the older teens (16/17) hung out together and the youger ones hung out together. Some teens dont even go into CG but still have a great time. You will find a group of friends on board so dont worry, you just have to be willing to go out and meet them. im not goin on the jan 18th cruise but when i went on jun 22 there was always people in cg until it closed a 2 in the morning and u meet alot of new people there just sittin at the bar and chatttin
