I have 72 boxes of GS cookies in the trunk of my car

I'm sitting here at my desk munching on a box of Do-si-dos (which is what the peanut butter creme cookies are called in our part of the country) and trying to figure out how I'm going to explain the 10 (more) boxes of cookies that I ordered to my DW. I don't have any more room in my desk for cookies.

Elaine - What kind were you looking for. PM me and I might be willing to part with some of my cache.

This is my daughters first year in Brownies and we are just about done with the cookie sales. My daughter sold 180 boxes. Can you imagion how much I was freaking out when after sorting them out by orders and closing the bags I had one extra box of thin mints but was short a box of shortbread? I had to go back through all the bags! This weekend is the last weekend for our cookie booths (where they sell in front of the grocery stores) and we have 140 boxes to get rid of. Guess who will be buying some of the leftovers along with the other mothers so the girls can go on their overnight adventure to the science center?

We have not had any melting problems here in Florida but we were warned, don't leave them in the trunk or the garage!

I had 185 boxes of GS cookies Friday, then our Cub Scout candy bars came in Monday! Our security guards at work were certain I was a terrorist! I passed out most of the cookies (down to about 30 boxes for neighborhood delivery if the snow EVER stops!), but I now have 32 cases (that's 2560 bars) of Hershey's Candy in my garage! And the GS have all the available stores booked up for booth sales!

Lisa, I would Call your Boy Scout people and point this out to them. I know from from experience that this will make your sale harder. If people have just given a Girl Scout $3 for a cookie (or more) they will be less likely to buy Candy Bars. Candy Bars have the other issue of being readily available year round.
