high school drama. Its so stupid and pointless and trivial. Always over nothing, but also is always huge and pathetic. GAAAAHHH

On top of that, its snowing!!! It was just 70 degrees 2 days ago! How on earth did it go from 70 to 33.

OK. Sorry, vent over.

Take heart in knowing that neither the snow nor the high school drama will last forever.

 Sorry for the drama...this too shall pass.

Weather, well, 3 days ago I got a sunburn...on purpose...today it is snowing.:scared:

Shes right you know.

It wont last. Gol I remember those days and thinking that it would never end but it does and everyone moves on and some of the jerks turn into bigger jerks and some of them wake up and actually become pretty cool people.

And all of those times when you felt like a fool in High School and think that will follow you for the rest of your life? No one actually remembers them :)

Hang in there, It DOES get better I promise :)

I know it will go away eventually. The bad part is that we have at least 6 more weeks of this. Then I'm sure they'll find something new to over dramatize. Oh yeah, did I mention all this drama is created by my friends? Its not really coming from an outside source, just my cliquey circle of "friends".

I laugh now when I think back on how over the top I made some situations out to be back in high school. But you know what? Back then it WAS a big deal to me because that's all I had experienced up until that point. Then as I got older, I startted experiencing more things and realized, hey what happened back then wasn't as big of a deal as what is going on now. And I'm sure years from now, I'll be thinking the same thing of today.

But trust me, once high school is over, it doesn't mean the "drama" ends. I know people who may have physically grew up, but mentally you'd think they WERE still in high school.

I hear you about the weather. I can not believe 2 days ago it was warm, sunny, and 70* out. And today it is SNOWING!! I miss Disney!:sad1:

LOL. I know, its horrible. Theres like 4 inches of snow here and 2 days ago I was outside in a shortsleeve short, capris, and no jacket. :confused3

But I was thinking and this whole drama junk...some of it is prom stuff and extremely overdramatized (ok, her dress is a similar style on the lower half as yours...so what? get over it!!!!) but most of it isn't even high school drama. Seriously, there are times that I think "Wow, my 6 year old cousin is more mature than you guys." (Ohmigosh...why are 4 people wearing the same shirt? thats totally stupid, even though there are 7 of us wearing the same shirt as eachother...Again...So what? Who cares?.......or the ever popular "I brought in candy, but it is only for 4 of the people at our lunch table, the other 2 can't eat it since they aren't 'original guard members'...And your point is?) OK, sorry, yet another vent over.

I am 33 yrs old but remember those high school days like they were yesterday. They were never easy and I hated it. I had a lot of friends in school in all different groups and there was always drama. I tired my best to stay out of it. But it was always there and hard to avoid at times. The funny thing is I am only in touch with one friend from highschool after all these years. I have to say that even after the first year of being out of highschool I lost touch with most of them right away. You get a job or go to college and you meet new people so don;t sweat the highschool stuff. It sounds like you are very mature anyway :)

Thank you!!! Your puppy is adorable by the way!!! My mom has always wanted a yorkie, but that would be near impossible with the monster we call Jake right now.

I'm sorry I just have to jump in here. That's not drama, that's mean and exclusionary. It's what teens and pre-teens do to each other. I wish I knew why. :confused3
If it was done to you, I'm sorry. In twenty years this will all seem so trivial.
Let this all roll off your shoulders and have a great time at the prom! :goodvibes

I made a nice big pitcher of lemonade the other day, when it was nice, since I was in the mood for it, and now I do not feel like drinking it. I want cocoa or something.

I always hated high school drama, but now that I have been out of school for the last 10 years, I would love to go back to the high school drama. High school was so much fun enjoy it while you can!!

Ahhhh... I see you are really talking band/color guard drama! That's a whole different subject than just regular high school drama. I'm a band mom so, trust me, I get PLENTY of this too! I keep telling my son that the reason for it is that they spend so much time together, especially during marching season. It's like one big weird dysfunctional family.

Last season, another band mom and I threatened to to slap a hormone patch on each and every one of them if the drama didn't stop! Not a bad idea...;)

:rotfl2: HAHA. Isn't that true? There's a running joke in our band (and I'm sure in most bands where everytime our band director says something to the effect of "we're one big happy family" everyone yells "EWWWW". If we're all one big family and some band "geeks" are dating other band "geeks" wouldn't that make it a little...umm...weird? LOL. But you are so right. Band drama is on a whole other level as high school drama and only band geeks/parents (or as we call them band mommys and daddys) can understand it.

But thanks for the laugh...I needed it.
