I hate wearing tennis shoes . . . any ideas on supportive "flip flops?"

I was just given a pair of Sketcher's Goga mat flip flops and all I can say is Wow! They are the most comfortable shoe/flip flop/boot that I've ever worn. If I can get a pair of tennis shoes with Goga mat technology, i'll be set.

The high arch is my main issue as many of the brands people mention above don't have enough arch support for me. Good to know there is another brand out there that I may be able to try.

My podiatrist ordered me a custom orthotic for my high arches which I wear in my Under Armour running shoes but when I don't wear the orthotics I wear the Keens and I really love them because I have no pain during or after walking in them. Specifically, I wear the Keen Women's Whisper Sandal. They run about $50-$90 depending on style / colors (which there are lots). Good luck!

I just bought a pair of Chacos that I plan to wear in the parks next year when we go. They're super comfy so far.

I bought some for our trip next week. I have been wearing them and was not sure I loved them- too much arch support for me. Well, yesterday at Jazzfest I wore them and the strap broke while I was walking. It was raining hard and I got terrible blisters. I have never spent that much on shoes and I am so disappointed! Ugh!

I'm on the countdown for our trip . . . 20 days. I've started prepping what we are all going to wear and I realized that I really don't want to wear tennis shoes. I detest them; I only wear them when I run. I would really really prefer to wear an "open" shoe, but have found my feet get sweaty in Crocs.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a women's shoe that would resemble a flip flop, but would be cushioned/supportive?
I love Fit Flops. They are so cushy with an arch support. Feels like walking on air.
Here's a link. http://www.fitflop.com/en/womens/womens-sandals/
Last year , I got them marked down at Macy's.

Seconding the Olukais. Our last trip, we took a mid-day break and I went back to MK wearing my Olukais. I had meant to change back into my walking shoes and forgot. They were so comfortable I didn't even notice.
Third here for Olukai. I get severe lower back pain in shoes without arch support. Olukai are so supportive I've never had an issue. I also wear the butt ugly Keen sandals when I know my feet are going to get wet. They may look awful, but they are supportive and dry easily.

Throwing my opinion in for Teva mush and yellowbox. I hate tennis shoes too, and wear flip flops for most of the year. When winter rears her ugly head I wear converse or sperrys.
My mush flip flops and my yellowbox flip flops have both walked many miles at WDW, and my yellowbox still look like new!

Another Olukai lover here! I have worn the same pair for three trips of two weeks each, and they are still comfy with good arch support.

I love my Sketchers GoWalk flip flops! I wore them almost every day on my August WDW trip last year and had zero issues with my plantar fasciitis and blister prone feet. I even wore them to Blizzard Beach!

I hateee wearing tennis shoes too. My favorites are both Fit Flops and Birkenstock sandals, however I find both really should be broken in prior to long-term wear. They mold to your feet but do take a bit of adjustment and sore feet especially in Disney is brutal! I also find the Walking Company has some nice supportive sandals. I can't think of a specific brand there off the top of my head but every shoe I have purchased, sandal or closed-toe, has been great.

I also try and wear tennis shoes as little as possible. I guess I'm a flower child at heart. My adidas sandals are my favorite to wear. Just be sure if you buy new sandals to wear them around before vacation. Nothing like getting a huge blister on your feet the first day of a week long vacation.

Try several types. I use the tevas and the Clarks without issue. But could not wear the fit flops as they cut into the top of my foot and would not stretch. Took them back to the store. I also like the adidas with the comfort foam.

I've worn Chaco sandals in the past. They are pretty comfy but sometimes the bottom of my feet felt a little like "burned" from rubbing on the rough surface. They can also be very heavy on your feet. They do have great arch support.
Last time I wore Sketchers Go Walk shoes. They were so comfy! Not cute by any means but no blisters or sore spots at all. I felt like they were breathable and light on my feet. The memory foam bottom provides a little support but not a ton.

My wife swears by her Rockports!

I have four pairs of Crocs Capri IV flip flops! I actually bought my first pair three days into my last WDW trip because my Nike tennis shoes were giving me terrible blisters and I couldn't walk anymore! I had never thought flip flops in the park was a good idea, and gawked at paying $60 for some (they did have Mickey on them :earsboy:) but it was the best purchase I made that trip! Not only were my toes free from new blisters, the fatigue was greatly improved!
