I hate the new search function!

Well, when reading threads, if I was interested, like in a trip report or another saga, I would hit the OP's name to get the "find more posts by op" function so I could read the rest of the story without all of the posts from other people. Now, though, when you hit that function, it only gives you the threads started by that person - why the change - I hate it! any other way to get the posts from the person?

I hate it too.....Also a lot of the time the search doesn't work at all.

if you click on the persons name in a thread it gives you the option of finding all posts by that member

Yes, but the point is, it only *pulls up* the threads *started* by the member, hence this thread.

Cami, it used to find all posts. Now it only finds all threads started by the user, just like the other serch function. It's not working the way it used to before the upgrade

I hate it too . I can't even get the advance search function to work. Maybe it's because I'm not computer savvy enough.

Definitely not a fan of the new search. I kept track of my own posts with it as subscribing wouldn't work for me. Seems like each upgrade of the board which HAVE been great, Thankyou Alex, has seen a downgrade of the search function.
