My dad asked me 2 weeks ago is my husband and I would like to go to a place out of town to eat with him. Of course, we said. So early this week we made plans to go today.

On Thursday evening I shot him an e-mail asking what exactly our plans were, just to give me a call on Friday, and when I would be home. He writes me Friday morning and says that's fine, he'll call me.

Yesterday comes and goes, no call. It's now noon here and I still haven't heard from him. He wanted to do an early dinner and it takes an hour to get to the restaurant. I just tried calling his home and his cell, got voicemail on both.

My husband and I hate doing things at the last minute. We like to have some sort of plan. So sitting here not know what on earth we are going to do is a little annoying. Not to mention I was really looking forward to spending time with my dad. He is at the beginning of a divorce and really reached out to me.

So please note: if you tell someone you will call them, please call. If something comes up and you have to cancel your plans, fine. Call them and let them know.

Ugh. Rant over. Thanks for listening.

I don't like that either! Annoying. But then again, I don't wait, my time is precious. Just go do you own thing, oh well maybe next time.

You guys, this thread is almost a month old. Moment has passed now :) I think Monkeyboy bumped it just to be a PITA.
