I hate Disneyland!!!

Hmmmm...bigger isn't always better? :teeth: Older with more experience is better? :teeth:

Watcha' tryin' to tell us O'Mike? :teeth:

Doh! I refuse to watch it because I am going to see them in person. Maybe on Sunday. I was there last night but I didn't want to stick around until after fireworks, and I got the feeling they were going to cancel them since it was a little breezy last nite.

Ah thanks for posting this link. I was thinking of doing the same. They decided they want 4 seasonal fireworks to show each year and I LOVE the new Halloween one with Zero flying across the sky and an enormous Jack that appears above the castle. They're really outdoing themselves lately.

I saw some images and video of the Ghost Galaxy for Space Mountain. Looks pretty cool as well and it's getting great reviews. Combine all of this with Haunted Mansion overlay and it's quite the celebration over at DL.

We've already decided that we're definitely going next year.

Well, I'm a DW girl myself...however, there are so many things about DL that I love as well. Seeing Mark's pics, makes me want to re-vist it!! Video was great! ;)

I went to Land for the first time last September... and I felt really sad. There was chipped paint right around the commemorative plate, waiting in line for the Matterhorn, even at the Tea Party. Walt was committed for everything to look like new. Also most cast members were actually grumpy. When we went to California Adventure, it was another story: everyone had big smiles and friendly to us! So I was disappointed in Disneyland. Although it is historical for me (that is the only park Walt walked in and I LOVE history) I was upset in the state of the park in general. And the castle is dwarfed by the trees around it! When you look at the old pictures the castle looks big becasue the trees around are small, but it isn't the case today.

Anyway, sorry everyone, but I like World better. And if it's for the prettiest MK I visited, it would be Disneyland Paris! This MK is absolutely stunning!

Pfff... ok I should have checked the actual video before... Those fireworks are AWESOME! They dwarf WDW...

I'm a little embarassed!

They each have their own positives and negatives, but agree, I LOVE Disneyland!! If I absolutely had to choose one over the other, DL would win every time!

Pfffffft. HEEEEELLLL no. WDW or bust, BABY!!!! :cool1:

DL was the original, which as we all know, can always be improved upon....

One thing I've noticed is that both parks are completely different and offer a totally different experience then the other. To me they're like comparing apples to oranges. Sure, they're both fruit, but they don't taste the same. I love the complaint people make about the tiny castle. To me, it adds to the charm of the whole place.

People who grew up going to DL their entire lives tend call DL their home park and the same goes for WDW. I personally grew up with DL. I've been to MK once and I felt the park lacked the intimacy that DL has, but that's a personal opinion of my experience. To me there is just something about the original park that Walt built. But it doesn't mean we're never going back to WDW. We plan on trying to go next year in April.

As to the park being run down or having grumpy CM's, I've rarely experienced that. The parks have always been in pristine condition. The worse time I saw grumpy CM's was during July 4th weekend and it seemed that everyone in the park was grumpy due to the horrible crowds.

Sure, you're always going to find parts of the park needing repair. Considering the number of people who trample (and I do mean trample) through that place each day, it's no wonder they're constantly having to paint and repair things all of the time. They will always be in a constant state of repair and attractions down for refurb. I noticed the same thing when I was at WDW. I think of this every time I go to somewhere like Six Flags and compare the quality of the park.

I guarantee that if you see something needing painting one week, the next weekend it's repaired. Teams of people do nothing but touch up paint and replace lightbulbs every night on 3rd shift.

I'll always defend my DL. :rotfl:
