I had requested a room near the food court, and was given a room in the building just over the bridge from the main pool. It was a very good location in the Magnolia mansions.

I had expected to use the main, southern bus stop just outside the food court building because I had read that it was the first stop at the resort. But when I asked our evening driver, he said that it would be the last stop in the morning.

So we decided to use the east bus stop which was just outside our room. It was amazing! We could see the bus stop from my window, so we could watch the buses coming and going. One time, we saw our bus arriving, and we grabbed our bags, ran out, and made our bus in the nick of time. We always had a seat in the morning and did not have to stand. In the evening, it was a blessing to have a room so close to where the bus dropped us off.

It was a fantastic location! I don't think the other bus stops have rooms overlooking them like our east stop did.

What was your room number?

Glad to hear you had a good stay at POR.

Glad to hear you had such a great room. Hopefully the rest of the trip matched the prime location! We leave for POR in 50 days. (I am super excited...can you tell?!) I would love to hear more about your stay... :-)

We stayed at POR last week and I thought WE had the best room! :cool1: :lmao: We were in Bldg 38 in Aligator Bayou. 2 Windows, Free Upgrade to King Bed & Riverview! LOVED IT!!

YEA!!! :cool1: :cool1: Another positive report on POR! We are going in just 17 days!!! Can't wait!!! Will be our first time at this resort! :goodvibes

OOOHH

This sounds soooo perfect!!

Which rooms have 2 windows then? Is it the corner rooms in the Mansions OR are they in a different block eg Alligator Bayou??

Did you or anyone on this thread visit POFrench? What are the rooms at this resort like??

Is it quiet at POFrench or POR around spring break or easter does anyone know?

Sorry about the q's. We're flying over from Ireland next year and have booked POFrench BUT am thinking of changing to POR.

Mum hurt her leg and will need an operation AFTER the hol so just want to keep her as near to transport/food/rests as possible.
Thought bus picked up at PO French first BUT doesn't appear to be table service rest only CS there? Is it far to boatwrights? Do i need ADR AND whats best way of getting there from POFrench if we go with that

Wow that does seem like a perfect spot! We will definently be asking to be in the Magnolia Mansions in November.

Great pictures! They appear to have been taken from bldg 27. We have been in bldg 18 for the last two years and loved it. POR is just soooo beautiful. I enjoy getting up early and watching the sun come up over Ole Man Island while my family is still sleeping in the room. Here are a few pictures from bldg 18....

Our corner room happened to be in Aligator Bayou (room 3821), but I think all the bldgs have corner rooms in them.

Here's a site that might help with your questions about POFQ:

Im staying there with my mom in May. I've heard great things about it and we saw the outside of it a number of times during out trip to POR since they share a bus.
