I had a missed miscarriage, 4 months later the GP thinks i have retained the baby :(

I'm sorry you've had such an unpleasant day but I hope now that they will act quickly so that your health, at least can get back towards normal

Just wanted to say I've been thiniking about you all day - glad you got some answers
:grouphug:

I don't have much advice either, but I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and your family at this tough time. I do hope that you feel better very soon and that things get sorted for you through this distressing time.

I think venting on here will help also, as we'll all listen and help in any way we can. Good luck

I am so sorry to hear what you've gone through, sending you big hugs, take care xxxx

I'm glad that you had a better experience at the private clinic, sorry to say that is often the case, I had a lot of trouble with my 2nd pregnancy after a traumatic birth with my 1st DD, and I had some private consultation and it was a much better reassurance than through the NHS, I think another DISer hit the nail on the head when they said many NHS staff are just going through the motions and you are just another case, which is really sad I think.

I hope everything goes well from now on.

Thank you all. Still not heard everything but being easter time i have been asked to make an appointment on tues to see the GP. Went to see the emergency doctor this morning, i cant eat or drink anything without my stomach expanding, i look 9 months pregnant! The pain is awful, i still have pv bleeding and cant keep anything down.

They are useless, bp was fine, temp slightly raised, pulse was fast but combined with the other symptoms he said i should be admitted ... The catch? As its easter i would be stuck on a bed until tuesday, they wont be able to do anything. He also couldn't access any of my records :confused3

All in all wasted trip, i would rather stay at home in my own surroundings until tues then let my own doctor make the decision.

Will let u all know how i get on Tuesday :grouphug:

 I wish you a relaxing weekend (if you can), better to be at home than hanging around in a hospital waiting to be seen. I hope everything gets sorted out quickly for you.:hug::hug::hug:

Just found this thread.. Look after yourself and I really hope this ordeal ends for you soon, can't believe how you've been treated

This is a terrible way to be treated. It clearly depends on where you live in this country to what type of treatment you get. Which is so wrong. With my first I had bleeding at about 6 weeks, I rang my doctors surgery, he arranged a scan at the early pregnancy unit that day, who luckily confirmed everything was ok and there was heart beat. I was convinced the wee tyke wasn't going to make it to 12 weeks, but he did and I could be a little bit more excited about it all.

I hope everything gets better for you.

Kirsten

Hope it all gets sorted out for you soon Amiee hope you are feeling better soon x

Thought i would give u all an update and u were all so helpful and understanding. I went bk on the tues after the bank holiday and the doctor said they had not received anything and that it was in the admin tray but no one had seen it yet and if there was anything on there then i would be contacted. I explained that the person who did the both scans told me that she had found something and i needed to see the doctor! She continued to say basically that it would come bk clear and there is nothing wrong with me! I was still in pain so she gave me some antibiotics and off i went!

Didnt hear anything which i thought was strange and my sick note was up so i went bk to discuss what happens next ... The receptionist booked me to see the same woman  so i asked to see a more senior doctor which i did.
He chased up the results and i went home. Within a couple of hours i received a phone call to say they received the results and they need to see me straight away.

I got referred to a gynecologist who i seen yesterday. They found small areas of where i had in fact retained part of the baby. Unfortunately they also found cancerous cells in the womb, she used lots of words i didn't understand but as soon as she said shadowing i knew exactly what she meant. She asked me if i wanted more children, which i do and lots of other awkward questions.

I am hoping on tuesday that they will be able to remove everything and no other treatment will be needed. I am having 5 different "procedures", not looking forward to it, never been put to sleep before. She says they will use a microscope to see what stage the cancer is at but i am worried as it is not normally seen on a scan. Obviously i am making myself worse by googling all the information she gave me :scared1: On a plus not my cervix and my right ovary look ok (i don't have a left ovary!)

I do feel quite cross on your behalf with the medical people you have seen, however, I can do nothing about that. The main thing now is that you are going forward and getting the treatment you need.:thumbsup2 Try not to Google, the darker things you find always stick in your mind more than the lighter ones. Getting put to sleep is nothing to worry about, it is just like going to sleep.

Please keep us updated Aimee, and sending you lots of  whilst you go through this stressful time.

im pleased you are finally getting some Answers even though that raises more questions
