I guess we're still staying at AKL... No phone call

I'm 20 days out... almost 19!!!
And we didn't get the phone call to switch resorts because of the construction. Has anyone been there recently, meaning within the last week? I'm curious how the construction is going and if it's really noticable.

Well I guess that's good news for you, in that you haven't been moved to another deluxe. You're going to have a great time. Don't miss those moonlit savanna views....or Boma's for that matter, or African stories at the firepit.

I was reading all about the construction at AKL so I was a bit worried. Anyways, we just got back yesterday and if it was not for these boards I would not even have known there was construction going on. We stayed on the resort (not even a step out the front door) for 2 full days. With the exception of a short wait for our reservation at Boma, there were NEVER any line-ups. Pools were not crowded, always able to find a seat at MARA - it was great. I was thinking of switching after what I was reading here about the construction but am glad I did not. It was the best experience!!
