I Guess KFC Employees Can't Count All the Way up to 12

We don't get KFC very often, but tis' the season to splurge and after cleaning someone's house and doing some shopping I was tired and didn't want to cook so I stopped at KFC to get their 12-piece holiday meal deal.

When I got home (about a 20-minute drive) I discovered they only gave us 10 pieces of chicken. *grumble grumble grumble*

I knew if I called they would just say, "sorry, come back and we'll give you 2 more pieces" which would probably just be a wing and a leg anyway and I'd waste more gas getting there/home again so I didn't bother.

Why is it so hard for them to count to 12 though? Geez, it's not rocket science, is it?
 
They would tell you that is all that would fit in the box... Its sold by weight, not volume ;)
 
Call and complain anyway. Tell them your problem and they should be able to make it right for you the next time you go there. No excuse.
 
What happens is once they get to ten, they have to take their shoes and socks off to keep counting. By the time they get their shoes and socks off, they forgot what number they were at. :rotfl2:

This stuff happens to me so much, I pretty much always check now. We do not have a kcf here.
 

Maybe you got two double-breasts..:lmao:. I would call and let them know and ask if they can mail you a coupon for your next visit. You win, they win cause you will be coming back.
 
Oh brother this happened to us except that we got home and didn't have any biscuits, you talking about four fat hot people, we were! :mad::lmao:
 
That same thing happend to me. I called and they said next you are up this way swing by and we will make it right. So the next time I was up that way. They gave me a FREE 12 piece meal. I said are you sure I was only missing 2 pieces they said yup. They wanted to make it right with me.

Once, I was at a KFC drive through. I paid my money, and as the woman was handing me my food, she said, "Oh **** a spider just ran in your car. You better go get it!!" Never did get my change that day.... about $10 she stole from me!!!

There are two KFCs in my neighborhood. One of them (a hybrid with Taco Bell) has never gotten my order right, so I stopped going there. No problems at the other one.:)
 
The opposite happen to us (i guess we got your chicken)
we ordered a 12 piece and came home with over 20

it was our bad because we did interrupt the girl when she was counting
but I didnt know she started again at 1

In any job, any business, there are employees who flat out don't care. Sometimes you get screwed, sometimes the owner gets screwed (like when you get 20 pieces instead of 12). I'd talk to the manager or assistant manager, just so they know, even if they don't give you anything for it.

DH and I went to Wendys one night and grabbed dinner. I wanted onion rings though so we drove up the road to BK and I went to use our change to pay... and there was nothing. The guy had been pretty rude to us but neither DH or I realized we hadn't gotten our change.
So I went back.

The manager comes out and says "I can't just give you $11 dollars" (which was how much we were shorted)... I said "Count the drawer."
She told me there was no way she was pulling that drawer until midnight when they closed and that she was just too busy. Then she disappeared for ten minutes, came back and was asking me questions about my order because she'd spoken to the guy working the drive-thru and he didn't remember me.

Well, I worked at BK before and I'm well aware that the drawer SHOULD have been pulled the second a customer voiced a problem. Instead she let the guy work it, knowing I'd been shorted $11, so if he hadn't taken it to begin with he certainly could have taken it later that night.

I was pretty peeved. I meant to call corporate but I forgot. The manager called me the next that they found my $11 and I could come get it. They also gave me a coupon for a free combo. Yeah, right. I'm not going back there!
I'm still curious whether or not they actually found my $11 or if the manager that called me back realized that the night manager made a mistake and should have pulled the drawer so he just gave me my money.
 
that stinks! just wondering what the 12pc holiday meal is all about? what all do you get and how much $? KFC sounds good, our local kfc is great!
 
I prefer Popeye's but they have been known to occasionally short us one piece. I figure that they get so busy and people are shouting out money amounts that they lose count. I can see anyone doing that.

Same here! The one in my town is a KFC/Taco Bell, this is the second time in the year that I've had a problem with them. The last time I got a bucket of the grilled chicken. It was so dry and nasty, obviously had been sitting under the heat lamp way too long. And the gravy was as thin as water. I complained on their web site and they sent me gift cards for the $15 I had spent, and an apology.

I do hate to complain again. I wonder if they keep track of how many times people complain....but the KFC in the next town has never been a problem. In fact one time they were completely out of breasts, so gave us extra thights and legs in our bucket plus gave us a few dollars off the total.
