I got to see the Northern Lights last night

I had never seen them before. It was amazing. The sky was streaked with reds, pinks, and white.

They are amazing aren't they! I grew up in Nothern Manitoba/Canada so we saw them all the time as kids!

I must be really dumb... I thought you could only see that in Canada near Alaska but that does explain the orange and odd color skies I have seen around here! SOme times I just stare at and think why is the sky t hat color? DUH!

LOL Spinning. Reminds me of when I saw a funnel cloud. I just stared and wondered to myself “Man that’s a weird cloud”. When I watched the news that night, I found out what it was. We don’t get that kind of stuff around here.

Auggietina – I’m jealous. I’ve always wanted to see them. I forgot last night to look for them as they said we had a chance to see them. Maybe tonight. Thanks for the reminder.

We were outside for trick or treat and saw them as well. Might have missed them otherwise.

I have been out looking for them but so far no luck. They said that because of the solar storm you could seem them as far south as Virginia. I have had my digital ready to get a photo if I happen to see them.
We have had some really beautiful skies lately. This evening we had the most beautiful orange sky. The contrast of the turquoise blue and the orange was absolutely stunning.
